Some ideas about gut cleansing

I am not sure where they morning is taking me.
I want to go back to bed a bit, and then clear
my desk before going for some acupuncture at 11 AM.
One of the great gifts of the Health Classic
was spending time with Kaare Bursell, a Macrobiotic teacher
who understands many of the principles of the Universe
as reflected through food.
In this Macrobiotic Awareness, there are counselors
who are actually healing people of serious imbalances
in the body through lifestyle changes. The foundation of these
changes rest on the foods we eat, and how they are prepared.
The very act of preparing the foods is an alchemical transforation.
I love this awareness.
The foods are prepared according to understanding subtle
energetics within food, everything intends to produce a balance
which drives out cancers or whatever.
There are many home remedies a person can do.
Macrobiotics is not about parts or nutrients, although in recent
years, it has succumbed to the trend to speak in terms of how
much calcium something has. It is more based on energetics
of food...the soul of foods and how through applying universely
heavenly principles we can all stay connected with earth.
At the Pac Sym, a highlight was attended a massage workshop
on Montak Chia' work on abdomenal massage.
I bought a book called"The Second Brain." Your Gut has a Mind
of its Own by Michael D. Gershon M.D. It is all about
gut consciousness. You can eliminate toxins and get the whole
person functional through massaging acupressure points in the
abdomen area, including the bowel. I saw this happening.
There was one woman who had core emotional issues touched
as the practitioner of Chi Nat Shan (inccorrect spelling)
touched this places. You can read the belly button and see
in what directions it is pullling. This will tell you what organ systems
attached to which core issues are need to be stretched.
The Second brain--the gut is highly emotionally charges. IT reads
and responds to feelings.
Jensen use to say...emotion...had to do with flow...motion...emotions
get stuck.
He also said that the bowel was the seat of consciousness.
This teaching is in harmony with macrobiotics.
Jensen saw reflex points throughout the bowel. In other words,
on his iridology chart in the eye, he could see specific places
where each place effected the other organs. So, if you want to
get energy to the liver, you start with the bowel. If you want to get
to the kidneys, you start with the bowel. If you want to get to the heart,
you start with the bowel.
Jensen's book Tissue Cleansing is repeated on the Curezone.
look under books. You will see the various kinds of bowel eliminations
that come out when you use various kinds of colonics or colema's and or
go on various cleanses.
According to Kaare Bursell, The ginger Compress is a highly effective
way to get the toxins unstuck from the villa (spelling?) of the bowel lining.
You have to do this religiously. It will free up the lining where the blood
is made. The lining gets all glutenized with sticky stuff. The energy
is blocked. Nothing digests. On top of this. we can get these pockets
where crude gets stuck. Jensen was strong on cleaning the pockets
using various products including alfalfa tablets.
Many raw foodists can get hyper vigilant about wanting to clean out these
pockets. We imagine we are cleaning out the darkness in our soul when
we clean out this pockets that are blocking energy from flowing.
It can become a fixation.
I sense the pockets can be cleansed with the ginger compress.
I am going to get going with this this winter.
I would like a fresh start with my bowel. Finding a way
to free the bowel lining will effect the heatlh of every other organ
and organ system. Jensen started with the bowel.
The macrobiotic folks are heavy into facial diagnosis.
The heay rings under the eyes,
the fallen double chins,
the deep markings and creases on the sides of the mouth,
all these indicate a bowel that is dysfunctional.
They will go away when the bowel is cleansed.
Most of us imagine that the fallen chin, etc has to do
with aging. Moreso it has to do with bowel condition.
If we want this outer beauty, we are asked to reinvent
bowel consciousness through the way we eat, and through
doing things to cleanse the bowel. This will effect
the bladder. This will effect diarrhea constipation.
I also want to say, that in the Macrobiotic system,
Miso--especially three year old barley miso--will feed
the friendly bacteria. There are more than 500 kinds of
friendly bacteria in the bowel. My own improvements of
bowel health came from the BIOK brand.
Macrobiotics does not support the enema approach.
The normal balance of eating grains, and greens, and squash...
i emphasize balance, will keep the tube clear, but according to
Kaare you need to do the ginger compress.
You can find out how to do it on his site

I am sure that the basis of the stuckness in the bowel traces
to emotional cause. The energy is blocked. We eat things
to avoid the pain. The food we eat is imbalanced and feeds
the imbalanced energy underneath.
So it all goes back to consciuousness and applying
some kind of regimen for eating that is based on something
whole, not emotional stuckness.
All the process foods seem to support our brokenness.
I was shocked to go into Whole Foods and see what is going
on. My consciousness shifted after the macrobiotic weekend.
We have --almost all of us--lost our sense of how to cook
or prepare food in a way that in consciousness connected.
I know 80% of my own eating is emotionally based. I am
trying to satisfy something or not feel something.
The macro folks, as most Traditonal Chinese Medicine folks,
do not go strong on raw food. IT is too cold, energetically.
Most of us do not have the guts to draw the good from raw food.
Most of us do not take the time to chew our food.
Most of us can not ge the good out of grains--
the foundation of diet--because we are impatient.
We do not chew our food.
We do not make a spiritual practice out of food prep or eating.
I for one eat standing up lots of times.
George Oshawa, one of the founders of Macrobiotics in the West
said that we do not get the good out of grains because we are impatient.
My bud and mentor William Spear once told me:
A cure for depression is chewing your food-each mouthful--
30 times.
Some of us would rather be depressed than take the time.
