Uncommon Sense is needed now if we are to clean up New Orleans. A Conference is needed sponsored by the EPA.

_____
The Common Sense approach to cleaning up New Orleans
would be to put the task of cleaning up the city in the hands
of the Army Corps of Engineers and power it through by
scraping, dumping, and clearing MILES, and YARDS, and HYPERTONS
of CONTAMINATED WASTE.

This cleanup of New Orleans brings up a deeper issue.
WHERE ON EARTH ARE WE GOING TO PUT ALL THE STUFF
THAT WE need to move from one place to another?
THE ARMY has been less than excellent
at such levels of Common Sense.
About 50 years ago, they faced a similar predicament.
Post World War 2, they were left with EONS of POLLUTED MATERIALS
from BOMBS and OTHER DELICIOUS CHEMICAL WEAPONS
of created for DESTRUCTION.
The Common Sense belief was that the bottoms of the Oceans
would be a GOOD place to DUMP our Unused ordinances
and CHEMICAL WASTE. They made a circle of 11 such sites
around the US of A. We are surrounded
by these DUMP SITES from Sea to Shining Sea.
In an LA Times article of Sunday October 30,
there was an incredible gut wrenching report about how this LEVEL of CommoN Sense as expressed by the Army et AL, has come back 50 years later to bite us in the butt.
The article reported that one of these dump sites off the East Coast had surfaced last Summer. Contaminated Mustard Gas deposited decades ago injured Army workers severely as they did their best to remove
one of these canisters.
Some even wondered, if maybe that might be a reason why
we have areas where ocean sea life is dying, but that is not
exactly the kind of Uncommon Sense anyone at top levels
would like to hear right now.
Back then in World War 2,
Common Sense imagined the Ocean was vast and could deal with
our instruments of war intended to destroy.
Common Sense, back then said,
"We haven't the time or the money to deal with this waste,
so let's just put it here."
NOW we are facing huge catastrophic dump sites
of one kind or another.

According to this article in the Los Angeles Times
drawn from the above article we do not even know where
the dump sites are located!!! The Army has somehow lost the maps
where they dumped the remains of our warring ways.
How far has the Army Corps of Engineers and
all the Army Dumpsters come in 50 years?
I do not know. I believe we deserve to know.
The Cleaning up of New Orleans is the opportunity of a Lifetime.
IT is the opportunity to avail ourselves of the latest of sophisticated
nature based technology that can really get this job done.
What goes around comes around. That is the message that
we are inheriting now from our World War two cleanup efforts.
This is the Uncommon Sense we need to have in our minds now
as we take on the Cleaning Up of New Orleans.
I want to see a conference called. I want to see the greatest
minds of our time, experts drawn from every area of expertise,
to start talking, and deciding what to do now.
Let's slow down and take
some time to really learn how to rebuild New Orleans is a way
that is not going to create even bigger messes for all of us.
Uncommon Sense tells us now: There is really no place
we can dump our pollution. We have to transform it, and thank God,
if we really look, we will find things like EM (Effetive Microorganisms)
and many, many BIoremedial Approaches that can show how
to transform this kind of mess.
In Chernobyl, it was discovered that one lot that used biodynamic
compost methods actually had lowered its toxic and raditation comtamination.
Truly, Uncommon Sense has the answers.
Truly, answers that belong to other ways of thinking
and engineering have enlightening answers for things we
can do now, if we just listen.
So let's slow down, and get some Wisdom going on how to solve
this New Orleans cleanup problem. I know good can come from this need
we now. Healing New Orleans can heal all of us.
It can bring in some new ways. and some new industries that
we can jumpstart that will rise up to get this job really, really, done.
Let's hear more Uncommon Sense now.
