Sammy Jara, fourth generation member of the Rodriguez
Farming family. Thanky you for saying
"I'M A FRIEND OF THE FARM" SO JOE THE FARMER
CAN SAY, "HAPPINESS IS ORGANIC!
Friend of the Farm is an Enchanted Garden Project aimed at supporting and advancing the growth of local whole, pure, and natural farming in San Diego County. In the Korean War, we held the image of G.I. Joe defending our country. Joe the Farmer is an archetype for all farmers striving to uphold the integrity of the local farm. It is also the title of my children's book, Joe The Farmer. Supporting Joe the Farmer is a question of national defense. San Diego County is well suited to grow organic food. The seed dream of this project is to influence food growing and shopping practices and to support the local Farmers' Markets where many local Joe the Farmers come to meet you.

"GI Joe" is the nickname given to the American GI.
The American Joe the Farmer--the Farmer at the cutting edge--
attempting to provide real food--is also a defender of our freedom.
Human potential is the greatest natural resource we have
for growing a more beautiful world.
Please call two friends and invite them to shop at one
of our San Diego Farmers' Markets!
Together we are changing the shopping pattern in San Diego.
Today, more and more Local Farmers can say,
"Happiness is Organic!" because more and more shoppers are
calling out for the highest quality organic foods.
In doing so, we are sustaining a lifestyle that
supports community feeling from Soil to Soul.
