deodorants (even one for doggies)

deodorant sprays

NOTE!! use sm glass spray pump bottles
see the web on product supplies
or search internet to compare.
all of these contain essential oils
and should be used in glass bottles

Also: use your imagination
play around til you get your own mix
personal and original 8)

strong & antibacterial

3 tablespoons vodka
3 tablespoons distilled water
2 drops tea tree essential oil
2 drops thyme essential oil
2 drops eucalyptus essential oil

combine ingredients in spray pump bottle
shake well to disperse oil
spray under arms as needed
will not clog

natural eau de cologne underarms

3 tablespoons vodka
3 tablespoons distilled water
2 drops petitgrain essential oil
2 drops cedarwood essential oil
2 drops bergamot essential oil
2 drops orange essential oil

mix ingredients in spray pump bottle
shake well before use.
spray underarms as needed

for men /woody spray

3 tablespoons distilled water
1 tsp vodka
3 drops sandalwood essential oil
1 drop cedarwood oil

mix, in spraypump bottle
shake well, spray underarms

_for women /exotic

2 tablespoons cornflowers (dry or fresh)
3 tablespoons distilled water
1 teaspoon vodka
2 drops jasmine essential oil

do not use synthetic jasmine.
the real is expensive, but worth the cost.

leave cornflowers to infuse in
the water and alcohol for 3 hours
no longer or will become soggy
strain off flowers and add the jasmine oil.
put in spray pump bottle and shake to mix
use as perfume/or light deodorant.

rosewood solid deoderant powder
(good winter dry shampoo deodorant for pets too.)


1 cup baking soda
2 drops bois de rose essential oil
1 tablespoon rosewood herb.

add a small amount of water to soda
mix with fingers til like breadcrumbs.
not too much water/do not want it sticky.
mix with remaining ingredients.
store in cool place in screwtop jar
to seal in fragrance.

this is a powdery deodorant.
rub a small amt into underarms
after bathing.
make sure underarms are dry
before using, or powder will clog.
also baking soda reacts to moisture.
so just a bare dusting will do.

you can play around with this.
try using less soda and a bit of kaolin
maybe even no soda at all? just kaolin
and play with the fragrance and herbs.
mayb some sweet grass? or clover?
with cedarchip and thyme?

for pets: rub generously thru hair
and down to skin.. let sit about 10 min
then brush out.
(you should dampen it a bit before pet use)
then it will draw off old odors,
and will brush out when dries easily
will also help soothe their winter itchy skin.)
