The Courage to Feel Good
"Men are that they might have joy." Being happy, finding one's joy and
living in a pleasant state of mind is essential to the manifestation of
magical goals. If we only realized how important it was we'd make more
of an effort to get there and stay there. I've learned a trick to this
that works for me every time, that I'd like to share with you.
Whenever I find something I can identify as that which I Don't Want in
my life, I allow that thought to take me immediately to the question.
"What is it I'd rather have?" What is it I DO Want instead?
Then I build a little scenario in my head while I consider what it
would be like to have this thing I'd love to see in my life. I play the
game, "Wouldn't it be wonderful if." and see how many things I can think
of that finish that sentence relative to the thing that was irritating
me.
Do you see what's happened with this game? My attention is now on the
positive, dreaming about my improved future.
What difference does it make who's fault it is or where blame is
placed. To me, this only slows down the movement forward toward making
improvements.
Negative emotion shows me that which is contrary to my inner nature, or
it wouldn't produce those bad feelings. Positive emotions shows me
that which is in harmony with my inner being.
My emotions point the way to what I Want and are there to act as my
guidance system. Checking in with my feelings and allowing them to work
as my guidance system then becomes an important factor in finding my
Way.
The Law of Cause and Effect says whatever I send out will come back to
me. The Law of Attraction says that which is like unto itself is
drawn. Therefore, when I'm thinking about something that feels bad, I'm
actually drawing into my life more of those things that feel bad.
However, when I focus instead on what I Want, and playing with what that would
be like, imagining what I Do Want, then likewise, my attention to it
draws or pulls it toward me.
The trick to staying positive then is to focus on what I want instead
of what I don't want.
This takes courage to do this because we've been taught to focus on
what we don't want, and put it on the news programs so that we ALL can
focus on what we don't want! Maybe this is the reason that we're in the
state we're in?!!
Whatever you dwell upon the most is what eventually shows up in your
life. Do you have the courage to stay positive? What would your life be
like if you did? Would it be wonderful if . ?
It's worth thinking about.
