What are the Qumran Caves?


Many people have heard of these sites and the stories of the many scrolls found there about; which have between called " the evolutionary link " between Judaism and Christianity! Based upon the so-called " Dead Sea " scrolls recent historical discovery of 1947, at the time of the re-establishment of the nation of Israel!


One of the most curious things about the whole Qumran community is that it existed at the same time and at very close proximity to the same geographical area where Jesus Earthly ministry was! Even with an incredible parallel to the Gospel of Christ - it does not appear to make any mention of Jesus or his disciples by name!


To date, some almost a thousand ancient parchment scrolls have been found in several caves along the Northwest shore of the Dead Sea! An area only about 13 miles from Jerusalem at about 1,300 ft below sea level - marking it as the lowest point in the world!
