Both 6.5" X 8.5" X 2.5" mixed media Eco Art pieces are made from recycled cracker boxes, turned inside-out and coated with matte acrylic*; images are all backed with Rhimax 100% recycled paper product for strength and flexibility**;jute hangers:
"SunBee": The flower images are from "The Whole Seed Catalog/From Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds" 2018 and 2019 editions***; other images from recycled advertisement and junk mail; recycled paper; acrylic paint; hand embroidery.
"Van Gogh Revisited": Vincent Van Gogh is one of my favorite artists. The background image of Van Gogh's oil painting is recycled from an old calendar; it is a detail of "Irises", painted in 1890. (The original 29" X 36.25" painting is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a gift of Adele R. Levy, 1958. You can see it here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Van_Gogh_Irises_in_NYC_partial.JPG ). I added dried flowers, eucalyptus seed pods and leaves; recycled bubble wrap.
