What does prayer have to do with your life today?

If any of you lack wisdom let them ask God, who gives all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to them!
James 1:5 NKJV

While this life may be sweet and nice but it will not last forever. We should all come to know the emptiness of this earthly existence and the realities of the Eternity that looms ahead. Sooner or later you will come to say -
"I am weary and tired."People look toward the end of all the toil and suffering to where "God will wipe away all tears from their (our) eyes."

Another reason for our tears is to make us feel dependent upon God. When all else fails people will see God through the prism of tears who have never seen Him in the Sunshine.

Tears also teach us the much-needed grace of sympathy. Why when trouble comes we always go to the ones who understand?

Why do children go to Mother when in trouble?

The Mother knows better than Father what trouble is. Because they have lived through more troubles and shed more tears. Why do women seem to pray better?

They have had more tears and prayed more fervently. Is there anyone who has been able to soothe or touch a sore or cut and make it feel well as gently as a Mother?

Thank God, when you see or know a kindly, Christian, sympathetic, caring Mother. Pray for God to give us more of the old-fashioned mothers who pray and respond with real tears and offer comfort.

We need those who pray as often found in a Solemn Assembly; which is serious, grave, sober, not light, or frivolous. A serious implies a concern for what really matters. A serious happening or response; which implies both seriousness and dignity in expression or attitude.
Solemn suggests an impressive gravity utterly free from levity.}

These are the Tears of the repentant soul seeking the face of God - which hold the keys to the gates of Heaven.

May God be honored in all avenues of our endeavor to communicate with Him.
