A family member ordered an article of clothing online; when it arrived, it came with this little tag. I thought it was cute and funny, and made it into a greeting card. The background paper is hand-painted by my friend and fellow artist, LFIRE (Dreaming a New Reality: https://www.curezone.org/blogs/f.asp?f=471 )

Using the same hand-painted background paper, made this greeting card, "Eve", from a magazine advertisement; hand embroidery added. Liked it so much put it in a small frame backed by glittery orange mesh. I call her "Eve", but this is really an image from "The Birth of Venus" by Sandro Botticelli, painted in the 1480's. If you look closely you can see how the advertisers modified "Venus" to make her more "modest" for their ad (for vitamin supplements).

Found this greeting card, printed in Paris in 1988, inside an old frame I purchased in a thrift store. The back of the card credits the photograph by Henry Clarke for Dior, Paris 1956.

I added some magazine photos to the interior of the card:

Recently I purchased a lot of old AAA Westways Magazines dating back to the 1970's; inside of a magazine from 1973 I was thrilled to find a full-page car advertisement from Nissan, featuring a painting by Peter Max titled "Forward Motion" 1972. Made a greeting card out of it with hand embroidery around the edges.

...the rest of the advertisement for Nissan's then-new Datsun 1200 Sport Coupe, stating "So when we commissioned (the car's) portrait, we went to today's kind of artist--Peter Max--probably the best known artist of his generation, a creative genius who made colorful visions an exciting part of everyday life."
