"Long before paleo became a popular trend, Ron integrated the teachings of Weston A. Price, D.D.S., Francis Pottenger, M.D., and other nutrition pioneers from the early 20th century, and argued for their ongoing relevance."

Legacy of a Health Warrior
My friend and colleague, Dr. Ron Schmid, died quietly in his sleep Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the age of 71. I want to honor him today by sharing stories of his courage, integrity and the rich legacy he left for all of us in the fields of natural health and nutrition.[1]

Thank you Kaayla!
This is absolutely the best shared tribute I’ve ever read!
The closest I came to connecting with Dr. Ron was via ordering his products. I had written him a couple months ago but never got an answer. Now I’ll have to check on the timing of that.
I am very interested in learning more of his interest in American history. I’ve been an independent student of American history for several years and most recently discovered another deeper layer to the so called “Civil War” that lies as a root to what Dr. Ron called: “our current predicament”. I’d especially like to learn more of his interest “to make a significant contribution to our understanding of American history”. That inspires me to honor that in some way! If there ever will be a biography written I’d like to be first in line to learn about it.
