What is a true friend?
** A real friend is a person whom one knows or with whom one has formed a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of sexual or family relations. Such is or becomes a very close relationship which is something, we must learn to understand when experienced in our life here on earth!
A real true friend is someone who is an adjunct to you.
** adjunct = something added or connected to something larger or more important: such as a thing added to something else as a supplementary rather than an essential part.
i.e. = ‘computer technology is an adjunct to learning’
This does not imply any form of servitude or class action. Rather a true friend is supplemental and complementary to another! This is where actual real friends exist - not the modern " BFF " scenario or what many people in schools or work environments call friends.
The real friendship goes beyond the popular system of acquaintances.
It goes on to the point where using the statement of camaraderie more like -
" They would take a bullet for you! "
This is exactly what Jesus did for us! Because of the agape love of God!
Agape God's kind of love!
God's type of love involves emotions many times, but it is not an emotion.
It is an act of the will.
We can choose to love even when we don't feel like it and we can always conduct ourselves in a godly manner whenever we feel God's kind of love.
God's kind of love is a choice.
God's kind of love is also the antidote to selfishness and pride.
We can never conquer self by focusing on self.
The only way to win over self is to fall in love with God more than with yourself.
It is in discovering God's love that we lose self-love.
** This is what gives humans access to the Kingdom of God!
The Agape Love of Almighty God!
