One of her poems is called "The Creative Being Creed", in which she reminds the artist what is most important about being creative. My favorite line from the poem is:
"I consider the practice of creativity equal to other practices like prayer or meditation or exercise and I make time for it."
I liked the poem so much that I wanted to share it with my artist friend with whom I exchange works of art. Below are the photos of a mini-book I made for her, using old pieces of ledger paper as the pages, the poem hand-written on each little page. The entire book has eight pages and is only about 5" X 3.5".

The mini-book cover is made out of cardboard covered with scraps of cloth, paper, thread, gold foil; gold beads; large metal staples; coated with a thick layer of white glue (dries clear). Each ledger page of the book has holes punched along the edges with various colored strings attached.
This little book was fun and easy to make. The hardest part was waiting for the glue to dry!
