The waterway in Delphi(Greece)

It is the relics which resides at the southwest foot of Mount Parnassus.
The waterway resides in the high place as people have to finish climbing the relics site and go down a little.
The waterway bends to 45 degrees up ahead and there is more stone waterway and it seemed to continue to the bathroom in the relics.
Do humans bother to make the waterway in such the place where there is no water?
