The juice fast, Day 12/12 by Disturbance .....

All in all I'm very pleased!

I'm writing this a while now after the fast. Blogging surely isn't my thing any more.

Juice fasting just might be, though. I have to say the experience was really necessary and helpful in terms of easing some bothersome ailments such as a stubborn need to clear my throat, and my mood swings. These two have probably improved the most during and since the fast. I no longer need to blow my nose all the time while indoors (an all-year-round problem I've had for a few years now) but only occasionally and while exercising outdoors, and all in all I have now lost 8kg from what I was two months ago.

Here are my measurements taken after breaking the fast:

Shoulders 109cm (-1cm)
Bust 99cm (-3cm)
Waist 79cm (-4cm)
Hips 101cm (-3cm)

This is a great, motivating start towards how I wish to be in the future.

The last two days of the fast went very easily, my mind was calm and I enjoyed a trip to an atmospheric communal sauna by a lake and swimming in a beautiful sunny weather. I also kept on riding my bike and walking as forms of exercise, and there was no feeling of fatigue resulting from those activities. There was no hunger, but a few occasional cravings towards healthy, raw foods did linger, and that only further strengthened my decision of limiting the fast to 12 days.

Once again I felt like fasting regained my trust in myself, my body, and my ability in taking care of myself. Experience brought routine and calm in being able to organize and plan everything necessary to go through my daily activities without extra hassle from the detox. I even had plenty of juices leftover for the post fast days, something I hadn't really expected to happen. There was no hunger despite consuming surprisingly small amount of juice mostly all through the fast. This continued during the post fast days when I found it very easy to focus on when I got full from eating and was no longer hungry. It was also easier to focus on chewing the food thoroughly and appreciating the whole process more, something that is still happening, after getting back to eating more "normally" - I can no longer eat copious servings of anything, I like to chew properly, and anything too sweet or salty is no longer to my liking.

My apologies for the lack of quality in this blog, apparently this time it'll be more of a brief log for my own information than anything else. I hope someone has found this account even a little informative. I have to recommend juice fasting maybe every few years at least to help one in connecting with their well-being regularly.
