Forest Walks and Papaya Day!

Monday, monday... got up around 10:30 - did a bit of desk work and a quick chat with my sis about juice... (she's a big fan of my juice maker & likes to talk kitchen) Today was PAPAYA DAY! Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm.... so I looked up a bunch of papaya juice recipes to get inspiration as I had not yet juiced this fruit, learned I could juice peel and seeds and all and also that the seeds (which I already know are very good for health and normally consume alongside the fruit) were excellent for treating alcoholic livers (which my friend here has) - So I saved most of the seeds, only juicing a few teaspoons of them - and made some very delish juices for the day.
First I made a jug full of coconut milk, using 1.5 cups of shredded plain coconut and 4 or 5 cups of warm water in my blender - strained thru a nutbag and used this as a juice additive
The first juice/milk smoothie was half the papaya, one banana skin and all and some of the coconut milk which I had added a little vanilla paste to - also added some water, this made about a litre of incredibly delish drink - drank a glass and a half on making it and bottle up the rest in a glass stoppered jar yum yum
the second half of the papaya got juiced along with 2 small green apples, a couple sprigs of mint and a few lavender flowers, one sprig of parsley and some water, a teaspoon of beepollen honey and some more of the coconut milk - it was a little bitter from the seeds and the parsley was a strong flavor until I added the milk and honey and that made it all very nice - went on my big 2 hour bushwalk with my practice and brought this one along, drinking most of a litre over the couple hours of walking... still a small glass full sitting in front of me
Now it's 6pm, I've carried in wood for the nights fire, and just heated up a cup full of broth, had my 1/2 cup full of chicken breast and 4 pb & butter wafer crackers - I also had a morning tea, that's it today - So I've cracked the 1st of 4 wild turkey bottles (gotta love the cork) full of chicken/veg broth - just delish - and so warming... enjoying this now, I really pushed myself up the hills walking today and did the course pretty quickly again, feeling stronger, lighter, more energized overall tho I do sleep long when I fast, all the lovely exotic fruit and the broth are making the late part of this fast so pleasant, very easy indeed - I don't feel I want for anything - thoughts went thru my head walking that I could keep going like this a long time, who knows. It's going to take me awhile to use up all the fruit :)
Mmmmm, feel so warm from the cup of broth - might do another one of those later tonight, my whole body feels warm and glowing from the fruits and broth and exercise - such a feeling of wellbeing I have right now at this stage of this long winter fast - I should probably have a bath and sauna tonight - soon and do some yoga and weights with some show watching in the living room - its a toss up in my mind between doing that right now, or taking that time to do some cleaning and work on my puppet heads that I've made and now need to carve and paint -- can I fit all of it in, hmmmm I can try - time flies by too quickly in winter with short days and long sleeps!
Feeling good - going to run that bath and get started on the nights activity :)
