13 Days in...

It's 8PM now, today has gone by pretty quick, did some house cleaning, vac, laundry, putting things away, sweeping, had a bath and sauna and now my energy is starting to flag for the evening - thought I'd watch some shows (just discovered "Wayward Pines" last night - very cool) and do some gentle restorative yoga as I've had a few days off with the big city trip and all that work.
Had my rice dish last night, I ate a lot feeling hunger and pretty quickly - felt very full after but still a sense of wanting more, I rested after that and felt ok - took it easy and went to bed kind of late but just veging and watching shows...
so today I wanted to nix the food and go back to the full liquid diet - I know if I eat a bit for too many days I'll probably come off the fast altogether and I wanted to continue, so today I weaned down, only having a few spoonfuls of the leftover rice dish this morning (there wasn't much left) and a couple spoonfuls of my friends cheese and cauliflower pie this afternoon - other than that its been cups of tea, a cold pressed banana milk made in my juicer, drank the rinse water which was nicely banana flavored as well with a teaspoon of probiotic afterwards, then I had a hot choc, watermelon juice with activated charcoal and a big glass of water with a heaping spoon of psyllium husk to cleanse my insides. The next few days I want to work on cleansing out my insides and building up good bacterial in my gut as my digestion hasn't been very good for quite some time (maybe a result of so many long fasts this summer)
It's good getting the house cleaned up and getting back here, I'm going a bit slowly, but getting things done - tomorrow should see me back fully on the liquids, I had a cup of soup also tonight when I felt my tummy grumbling a bit - I took 1/3rd of a packet of some crummy cup of soup mix and mixed in a bit of good organic veg broth powder and hot water and that was nice, soothed my hunger and something savory which perked me up a bit - feel fine to go on with the fast, I should go back to my bushwalking and yoga now that I've started getting the house under control and arrived! The place is warming up as well, so its time to get back to what I was doing before the interruption :)
Reading up on winter fasting tips online a bit tonight, might get some ingredients to make a better quality fasting broth to have a cup of every evening, it would be a nice addition in the winter so I found a nice couple broth recipies for that - also read that its really good to add cayenne and ginger in during winter to warm up internally - might get a bit more creative with my beverages :)
All for now, a bit of gentle yoga with some more wandering pines...
