No, they don't die, though they change into other form with other thought which is different from the original thought.
Atoms seem to have various consciousness just like humans.
They work for humans if they find humans think favorably to atoms but they do evil deed if they find humans don't admit atoms have consciousness.
Incidentally atoms turn into the photon which is the smaller shape than atoms owing to the nuclear reaction e.g.
I was given the message from the photon=elementary particle.
Though it might be beyond belief, they informed me by the white light which leaked from the narrow slit between the blackout curtains.
It was the unbelievable shape in reality.

Though photons informed me with the white ray of light several times last night, no shape was formed by the ray of light this year even though there is the slit between the curtains.
