JOY X Four, 11" X 9" Eco Art by mayah(c)2015
This art piece is inspired by an art work that a friend and fellow artist gave to me. On her art work, she had the words "LOVE-PEACE-HAPPINESS-PROSPERITY-HEALTH", energetically high frequency words.
I wanted to make her a reciprocal art work, so I used the same five words and added more: "JOY-WISDOM-COMPASSION-FEARLESSNESS-GRACE-VITALITY-FORGIVENESS-TRANSFORMATION". There are four JOY words, one each on every corner, as you can not have too much JOY!
Eco Art by mayah is made with recycled/earth-friendlier materials. "JOY X Four" is made of reused cardboard, scraps from previous art projects including left over acrylic paint on unbleached waxed paper and paper towel, mesh gifted to me by my artist friend, found leaves, nontoxic, low and non-VOC glues and acrylic glazes. Lettering hand-printed with acrylic paint with rubber stamps.
