A Tribute to My Lucky Irish Charm Paul Wallace

My lucky Irish Charm for the last four years has been Paul Wallace, director of the Petaluma Seed Back and The National Heirloom Expo during the four years that I traveled from San Diego to Santa Rosa for @HeirloomExpo. He did the work of ten for this event. Sometimes I would ask him, when he would eat. He would smile and say, "I will eat when the show is over." He was responsible for directing the planting of more than 300 varieties of rare squashes in the Northern California area that were a visual statement of the power of this event. On October 31, he went on to do other work, and it will be an amazing experience to experience the growth of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company as they find ways to equal and surpass what Paul Wallace accomplished.

He was a difficult man to reach on the phone, but very often the Spirit of all I wanted to accomplish would dial us in. I want to step up to the plate and build upon the successes I had with this remarkable event that has given my life tremendous meaning and being a focus for my Soul inspired will to Win Back Our Sacred Seeds. Paul was responsible for numbers of my successes, including positioning me to do the Opening and Closing Ceremonies at the 2015 event, as well as have one of my Art Gifts hanging behind the Cash Register at the Petaluma Seed Bank.

The staff of Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company are remarkable people. I call them my Missouri Family. It is an honor that 1800 of our @RareSeeds are in the hands of this wonderful group of God centered Souls. led by Jere Gettle. I have experienced a lot of magic in my life, Enchantment as I call it, and the venue of the National Heirloom Expo I highly recommend to you. The 2016 dates are September 6-7-8 2015 in Santa Rosa, CA at the usual site, the Sonoma Fairgrounds.

I will spend 2016 putting out the call as one of my primary @PlantYourDreamBlog Campaigns. For me, it this event is the equivalent of King Arthur in the Movie Camelot issuing Sacred Graphics that went out over the countryside. All the Knights and Ladies came from far away to be a part of the Round Table.

It is not an easy journey for me to get in my 68 VW Van each year, overcome my trepidations and physical conditions, and take to the road, ofter single handedly. I send prayers of thanks to my soul brother Paul Wallace for being my witness. We will see a day when we wake up one morning in a Post GMO world. I will never forget Paul and the role he has played in getting us there.

The great Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote in his essay called Self Reliance. "Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood--Is it so bad then to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.

My joy is that in Paul Wallace I found a man who I felt really heard me, who really got me well over 90 % of the time. Paul Wallace understood me and he helped make my ability to enchant possible. Sometimes, it's good to stop and recognize how we got here, before we move on to even greater potential heights.
