New Beginnings

Ladies and Gentlemen, I regret to tell you that my 120 Day Broad Fast got flushed down the toilet. Therefore, I have started a brand new 120 Day Broad Fast with some new rules. The first one was for trial and error purposes as I see it now. I feel that I must forget the past, except to learn from my mistakes, and press forward and on to reach my goal. One of the worst mistakes a person can make is to dwell on past failures. Doing that will just cause more failure by making a person feel like a failure. I know of many stories where people have failed in different things, but when they tried again they turned out to be a very successful. A person has only truly failed when they fail to try anymore.
I am including the following types of fasts to count towards my 120 day goal:
1. Water only.
2. Liquids only.
3. Liquids, nuts, raw fruits and vegetables, kale chips, steamed or sautéed in water veggies, occasionally oatmeal - I am calling this my Daniel Fast. I've got some great green smoothie days planned for this one. I may also allow a small amount of dressing, but I am planning to make most of my green salads with some chopped fruit which is a great substitute for dressings.
4. Coconut oil with a possibility of adding peppermint flavoring.
5. Clay only -yuck- I've never tried it yet, but may. I bought the clay months ago, but have never got up the nerve to do this one.
I will add seasonings as desired, except to the water on water-only fasts.
I will allow eating days, but hope to keep them at a minimum. The eating days will not count towards my 120 days because I will eat whatever I want. I hope to only use these days sparingly and for good reasons like social events or in desperate need of a break. After all, 120 days is a very long time and I have found out that I am no Joe Cross!!! I am Celery Stick and so I have to deal with me and where I am at. I will only allow my eating days to last no more than three days in a row. If I go beyond that I must start a new 120 day broad fast. This should help motivate me to keep them at a minimum. I will only allow one exception to this rule. If I am on vacation and staying with people I will allow eating days to last longer. I believe in eating what is set before me when I am visiting others in their homes.
The last thing I am changing is the way I count the days. There will be no more minus days added at the end. If I eat for a day I will just not up my number on the fast. That makes a lot more sense to me and should make the math much easier. So let's say I fast for five days and then eat on the sixth day. The sixth day will not be counted at all in the days. I will just be stuck in day five until I move on to fasting.
"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:18-19
