Broad Fast Day Thirteen by celery stick .....

Eating Day Three and New Rule

Date:   2/6/2015 1:31:51 PM ( 9 y ago)

I am now on day 14 and have come up with what I think is a new and better rule for my plan. Since eating days are not fasting days at all, I am going to add the number of eating days I had to the end of my 120 days to make sure that I had 120 days of fasting. I will only count water fasting and liquid fasting as part of my 120 days. I will count coconut oil and clay fasting as part of it too, if I ever get to those, because I don't see either one of those as eating food. I bought the supplies for those a while back, but never did get to them. I'm actually not looking forward to either one of them so I keep putting them off. The thought of drinking a drink made with clay turns me off, but I see a lot of people are claiming great health benefits from it. Adding my eating days to the end of the 120 days should discourage me from taking more eating days than necessary. I know my commitment is 120 days of fasting and I will work toward that completion.

This will mess up my plan of climbing a ladder with twelve steps, but I think this will be a more reasonable plan for me. Dick Gregory went on a liquid fast for 100 days. He did his with no food breaks. We will see how long I can go before I need a food break. Mr. Gregory was probably in better shape than I am. Maybe someday I will be able to do that too. I just don't think it is reasonable for me where I am in this journey. We are all at different stages. We all have different bodies. We all have different issues. We cannot expect to do everything exactly like someone else did. Others who have gone before us can encourage us, but sometimes we have to work ourselves up to a certain place before we can do something. We may need to prepare our bodies first in order to accomplish something someone else did. Or, we may never be in a place to do what someone else achieved. We need to all strive to reach our own personal potential.
