GMO foods are not identified in grocery stores - if it isn't harmful then why NOT label them? Ahhh, but Grasshopper, GMO foods ARE harmful.

Election night - November 4th, 2014 - and the GMO labelling question is being raised by some of the Indepenent candidates. It says a lot about American politics that none of the Democrats or Republican candidates are willing to debate the GMO labelling question!!
What else does not smell right about the GMO labelling issue? Is that smell coming from "people who have something to hide"?
First - lets take a look at the bigger picture:
Does anybody remember the old adage about "don't tinker with nature or you will get hurt"? Modern day examples include "cutting the trees down on steep hillsides leads to landslides", and "dumping 30 Billion metric tons of CO2 from burning fossil fuels WILL cause global warming" - and it might apply to the foods we eat too.
Think - hydrogenated oils, for example:
At first it was great idea that makes foods taste better, with better texture, longer shelf life, and less expensive!! Oh Wow, what could go wrong? Well, not much - just clogged arteries and heart disease - but we saved money, right? Nope - the grocery industry and food producers took the savings and turned them into BIGGER PROFITS.
There is very important lesson in the hydrogenation experiment - YEARS after the harm of hydrogenation was known, the food producers were still doing it, AND they claimed that there was no connection to disease.... for years and years. They were driven to this form of mass murder by GREED.
Now lets look in more detail at our Tinkering with Nature -
Getting back to the example of Genetically Modified Organisms - tinkering with the genes of a plant so that it cannot be poisoned by a specific toxic chemical is inviting danger to our dinner table. "Yes, Virginia, we could get hurt if we do that"
Studies ["not available in your area of North America"] have clearly shown that GM organisms are causing diseases, including cancers. People ARE being hurt.
The corporations that produce GMO foods know about those studies, and they know that their customers are at a higher risk of illness because GMO's are harmful.
They are the same corporations that are putting in a lot of hard work, and money, to stop the "We Want GMO Foods Labelled" movement.
Test time!!
Question: WHY are the GMO producers putting so much effort into fighting the "We Want GMO Foods Labelled" movement?
Answer: Because the GMO producers know that within a few years of GMO foods being labelled, the public will begin to see the GMO connection to diseases - as in "their profits will decline".
Correct! - the REAL REASON the food industry does not want grocery shoppers to know which grocery products contain Genetically Modified Organisms is because when we know which foods have GMO ingredients then we will know which grocery items are causing us to FEEL CRAPPY, and making us SICK, and giving us CANCER.
And yes - there will be STATISTICS!! [but only in Sweden because western nation's health agencies don't do that sort of thing when it involves a commercial product]
Even though most of these connections between sickness and GMO food products will be anecdotal [when GMO foods are labelled], over time it will become reasonably OBVIOUS - "Both Jimmy and Uncle Bud died of that SAME cancer and they both ate Elmer's GMO Rice Pudding every day for lunch, but nobody else in that family ate that stuff and NONE of them got cancer" - and over time customers WILL GRAVITATE AWAY FROM products that cause illnesses.
Perhaps you are not concerned with the GMO labelling debate... after all, "we might get hit by a bus tomorrow". Or you are not concerned because "profits come before people". Or some of us might believe that "protesters don't want any progress at all - AND they are all TERRORISTS!!".
In other words - if you do not believe that the public has a right to know what they are putting into their own bodies then you are almost certainly a victim of corporate propaganda - so when you WAKE UP I hope you will join us as we demand that GMO foods be labelled.
