Inspired by the art of crop circles, I made these two cards with hand embroidery

There is a lot of controversy regarding crop circles--are they "real," or are they "fake"? Well, seeing as how thousands of crop circles exist in physicality, they are all "real"; the question becomes who or what made them, and why?
I kinda take a middle-of-the-road approach, believing that some crop circles are planned by humans--especially the obvious ones with written messages like "take me to your leader" or with images of large-headed, huge-eyed aliens-- while others are spontaneously created by some other kind of energy.
From what I've read, crop circles that are planned by humans may take hours to make in the field, usually done under cover of darkness in the middle of the night to enhance the mystery; some of the designs are very intricate, and use today's latest computer technology to map out ahead of time. They're made primarily for fun and the thrill of doing it without getting caught, and are kind of a nose-thumbing to those who believe crop circles are not made by humans.
Crop circles that are not planned by humans are spontaneous events that occur all at once in minutes, and may occur at any time, day or night; designs may be simple or complex. Some people report that these crop circles have a particular energy to them that can affect how humans feel when standing in them, whereas there is no such energy felt with human-planned crop circles. Spontaneous crop circles are interpreted by some as messages from ET's, spiritual messages from a Divine source, communication from Gaia or the elemental kingdom (Devas or "fairies"), among others.
Whether they are planned or spontaneous, I think one would have to agree that from an artist's standpoint, crop circles can be very beautiful and intriguing designs. I recently spent hours looking at crop circle images posted on the internet, and reading about them. This influenced the two pieces of art below:
Art Card Free Hand Crop Circle by mayah (c)2014 6.5 X 5.5"
This Eco Art card is made from tissue paper and thread scraps on top of left-over paint on natural unbleached wax paper, hand-embroidered, mounted on reused white cardboard and then on green card stock. The design in the middle wasn't planned out ahead of time like I usually do when embroidering, but was done spontaneously as I sewed. I attribute this to the influence of looking at so many crop circle images before it was made!
The "crop circle" design on this next card was planned out ahead of time. While looking at crop circle images online, I was particularly struck by this one:

Roughly drawn crop circle template by mayah(c)2014
I modified the design of the crop circle and drew out a small rough template that would fit on the art work I'd already completed.

Crop Circle Embroidery Framed 12" X 12"
This Eco Art piece is also made from tissue paper and thread scraps on top of left-over paint on natural unbleached wax paper, hand-embroidered, then mounted on scrap white cardboard and with a gold card stock background. The frame reused as well, from Goodwill Industries.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of crop circle websites. These are the two I read: http://www.psychicworld.net/crop-circles-beyond-fakes/

Lee Carroll channels Kryon, a benevolent angelic entity; in his latest channeling from the United Kingdom, Lee/Kryon mentions crop circles and their origins. Go here to listen to the audio recordings: http://www.kryon.com/cartprodimages/2014%20downloads/download_London_14.html
