Voices Rise In Illinois Against Anti-Raw Milk Legislation! by chef jem .....

Response To The Northern Illinois Public Health Consortium, INC.

Date:   4/10/2014 9:15:48 PM ( 10 y ago)

Thanks to the thousands of individuals who contacted legislators in Illinois.:

"The sponsor, Daniel Burke (D-23rd district), chose not to move the bill out of committee after legislators were inundated with calls and emails from concerned Illinois citizens. ... The Weston A. Price Foundation issued a point-by-point rebuttal of Illinois public health official claims that a ban was warranted."

This is a most informative rebuttal and especially so in regards to "The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the "U.S. Food and Drug Administration" as well as "The American Academy of Pediatrics"!
This rebuttal underscores my most previous blog wherein I have questioned whether "science" can be trusted as "counselor". In this instance we can see that the decrees of these institutions that purport "science"-based reasoning to justify their dictation of public food policy deserves an enlightened scrutiny. Therefore the non-industry organizations (such as The Weston A. Price Foundation) that exist for and within the social realm deserve our support and to be kept as free as possible from both governmental and food industry control.
