"10 Reasons to Use Bitters"

Sugar addiction is reportedly one of the most severe addictions of any substance! One of the reasons why the general public does not realize this is that sugar is also the most readily available "substance" and therefore those who are addicted to it have a virtually endless supply available to them whereby they can feed their addiction at any time! (There are plenty of books out on this subject in case anyone wants to read up on it.) Another reason that the pervasiveness of sugar addiction is not commonly recognized is that the intake of sugar has gradually increased over the years, over many decades (as of the last couple of centuries) to the point now where it is at it's all-time record high.

If you don't think you have any addiction to sugar then consider completely eliminating it from you diet for just three days. The "trick" here is to actually remove all sugars! That means you'll most likely have to eliminate all processed foods because of they virtually all contain some form of sugar as one of their ingredients. Then start a journal to record all of the things that you'll become aware of in the whole process starting with your decision to "test" yourself. It may very well be an "amazing journey" for you! Do you have the courage to take it on? Maybe you need some additional support? Once you have made it through the three days consider doing that for a week and repeat that process till you can go at least six months without any sugar.

If you think eliminating sugar can't be done then remember this.: One of our greatest flowerings of human culture was during the Renaissance when the annual intake of sugar was about one teaspoon per individual!!

Addiction is just one of many problems involved with the extent that sugar has predominated our present day food culture (the mention of most all of the other sugar-related problems will have to wait for another blog).
