Maintaining Composure in a Time of much on my Plate(s)

When there are vacancies at the house this becomes a near full time pre-occupation.

When the Natural Product Expo West and Spring March nears, this is time to spend funds for a motel and prepare for once a year opportunity to meet with my sponsors at the Anaheim show, March 6-9, 2014. There are also funds to spend for the Organic Center Dinner ($175.00) an the Organic Farming Research Foundation Luncheon.

This year, the Permaculture Voices Conference in Temecula, March 13-16, 2014 follows the NPEW.

This year Mercury Retrograde fell February 2-28. This is not a time when contracts --such as new roommate situations--fall into place, It is more a time when challenges from the past come up, and we can find the universe asking us to slow down and review before we can move forward with clearer vision and purpose.

This year, my father Solomon, died. I spend a week with relations coming together in the Jewish practice of sitting Shiva. I have felt like an outsider in the family circles for decades. I wanted to honor my father, but we do not pray in the same path although we are very similar in many ways of devotion to our individual life paths.

Processing this experience of his passing and re-entry into a long lost and never comfortable relationship with his orthodox ways was enough to stimulate gobs of powerful video and thoughts for a book called Healing Family Relationships.

I got so far as to make a cover.

At the same time all this has been happening, my wrists and arms and shoulders have been hurting. Getting out of bed to face the responsibilities and intricate demands and related emotions has been consuming.

Last night I had a delightful break. A very dear friend came to town and this was an opportunity to go to a basketball game to see his girlfriends son play. This Saturday morning, offers precious moments to prepare for the NPEW,

I invested lots of emotional energy in a potential housemate interview this morning that was based on a call I was suppose to get last night. The call never came.

The details of intricate timelines for vacating spaces and rooms all have questions marks for how they will turn out.

I really don't feel like getting upset about any of this today.

I am just lying here blogging in bed, finger by finger, listening to chicness in the canyon, and reconnecting more with friends.

I need more of a mental break from the intensity.
