Why do fleas bite some and not others?
Smokie the Cat had a rough day in the Enchanted Garden today. I got in tiff with Sweetheart after my plate was full, full, full, and then, I started to imagine that others living here were going to have difficulty with potential flea problems. Yesterday, I met Janelle Diters, a Pet Consultant. I felt enthused about her Flea Freedom Organically Product of Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth recommended for Pets. Once I got into reading the label, I started to take it myself. This was the first day of use, January 13, 2014
FROM THIS WEB SITE:
One of the questions that came up with Sweetheart today, was why she was sleeping with Smokie around her neck, but had no bug bites. Others in the house are starting to feel jumping bugs on them. Sweetheart thought these were phantom reactions of the mind, so I wanted to research why some people have flea bits and others do not. This is what I found:
This is a very old thread.
To answer your question, it has to do with body chemistry and allergies. Everyone has a different body chemistry and some attract bugs more than others. Also, if you are sensitive to a bug bite, you will develop a reaction such as a slight swelling and itch. Many aren't as sensitive and while they may still be getting bitten, they don't react to the bite.

THEN JANELLE CALLED
He believes that fleas bite cats who have a weakened immune system. The common "spot on" medicines, i.e, Advantage, FrontLine, she says are neuro-toxins and Poison our pets. Fleas may likely bite people with immune systems too. I have a weak immune system.

This is Janelle Diters, my Pet Consultant. I met her January 12, at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market. I have a mouthful of her DE- Diatomaceous Earth in my mouth right now as I am writing this Curezone Plant Your Dream Blog. I am not sure of the results I will get, but it felt like a good idea.

USES OF DIATOMACEOUS EARTH
FOR CANDIDA
Janelle told me that there is a relationship between Candida and DE. She also said that one of three people have worms. I know I have Candida. Even eating organic strawberries yesterday gave me a reaction during the night..
THERE IS A COMPREHENSIVE POST ON THIS LINK THAT ENCOURAGES ME TO USE THIS
I started to research DE on the web. There is a lot of different opinions about its effectiveness as a Candida treatment. However, I found one comprehensive article that I really liked.

BAKING WITH DIATOMACEOUS EARTH
I am going to try this in my crust of my next Kamut® pie or Healthier Pizza!--

Facinating!
I bake and cook with DE all the time. I add it to breads, cakes, muffins, hot cereal, rice, veggies, just to name a few. Everyone raves about the fact that they can eat my pastries and lose weight…..They are really evicting their uninvited “host”. -- Sue-WY.
