Mysterious black lines with white polish

For those of you following along on my strange journey I tried a new thing the other night:

I painted a few areas of break out with white French manicure polish and low and behold, all these black things started showing up that were not visible before. I did several layers until it was rather thick and left it on for over 24 hours. After a few hours a shape took place under all that white, and when I peeled it off the area had pretty much cleared up. I take it that I'm cutting off oxygen to whatever is beneath and possibly killing it. I know my methods are strange, but when the "normal" things don't work, well, I experiment a little and sometimes I find things that work and these I pass along as they might work for someone else.
