Day 3 - Water fast by caa522 .....

Starting Day 3 on the water fast. I can't believe I have made it after a challenging day yesterday. I am hoping today goes better because I would really like to go longer. On a positive note, I feel lighter, more alert, less back pain with lower back when I stretch, more neck flexibility and less pain, and overall less joint pain.

I just wanted to mention what happened last night after I tried to go to bed around 9:30pm. First, it's a miracle I even comtemplated going to bed that time. Typically I sleep between 12-1am. However, I was struggling real bad and just wanted to sleep through it. I tried to fall asleep but just couldn't. My stomach was hurting. I think it was the trip to Costco. All the foods stimulated my digestion and got my gastric juices going. Like Pavlov's experiment with the dogs, the bell, and food. It seems at this point everything is triggering my digestion. I tossed and turned until 10:30 and finally fell asleep. I woke up at 2:30am not feeling quite as bad but my stomach still ached. I went on the internet and read about other people's experiences and I guess it is typical with water fasting. A couple of things suggested were to drink warm water and take sips instead of drinking a large amount. They explained that it is the stomachs automatic response when your stomach gets stretched. I remember studying that in college as well. That makes sense. I typically chug my water so now I will slow it down now. Sipping warm water seemed to ease my stomach ache. Also lying flat on my stomach helped. I tried my darndest to fall asleep. It was rather frustrating. My mind was alert but my body wanted R&R. Finally around 5:30am something helped me to finally get sleep. Sex. though I wasn't particularly in the mood since I felt like crap. My husband, nevertheless, was convincing. It worked. I fell asleep about 6am. Too bad my alarm went off half an hour later. I haven't slept since but still in bed taking it easy at 9:30am. Will meditate and pray for a bit then have my Water with H202

On a good note, I weighed in at 137.0lbs. That's 5.2 lbs lost so far after 2 days. My blood pressure was at 133/83 and heart rate at 73BPM. Right now I feel okay but my stomach still aches. I read that these hunger pangs go away after the 3rd day. I will try not to drink any tea at all. (I had 1c. plain organic green tea yesterday). I also noticed that I had some burps last night and this morning. Strange when I'm not eating anything.
One last thing to note. My heart rate is typically in the 60s-low 70s bpm but it feels like it is fast and loud when I am trying to sleep. Are my senses just becoming more acute? Or am I hallucinating?

That's all for now. Will add on to this post tonight.

10:30pm
It wasnt much better the rest of the day. I felt awful and stayed in bed most of the time. I did take a short easy walk thinking the sun and increased circulation may help. I struggled with walking and was short of breath. I know some people would highly disagree with the next few things I tried. I did a salt water flush. Doing this during the master cleanse makes a difference in eliminating the symptoms that come along when toxins are being mobilized. I wasn't sure if it was going to work because I didn't drink the Smooth MOve tea the night before (per Master Cleanse). It didn't go through me as it usually does but I did find some relief doing it since. Eventually had a BM a couple of hours later.

Watched the Pacquiao/Rios fight tonight. It was a nice distraction to help pass time but it was a challenge because it was a family get together with food. Well, I survived. I have completed 3 days! Woo hoo. I think I will end the water fast now. I have four kids and being in bed most of the day is just not something I can keep doing. I am glad I tried this water fast. I found joint relief and increased flexibility especially with my back. I know I'm just detoxing big time but this is the jump start I needed to start up with more juicing and raw foods. A great way to reset things.

One more thing I wanted to mention was that last night and tonight again the palms of my hands got real itchy. The only time I had that was during my pregnancies. It's called cholesistasis. It is any condition in which the flow of bile from the liver is slowed or blocked. I wonder if this is normal or is it hepatic stone or parasite blocking the flow.

It took me a few attempts to get through completing 10 days of master cleanse. I think this was good to complete three days. I will try to do this again shooting for 3 and hoping that the detoxing won't be as bad.

Good luck to all and God bless you!
