I am Safe--Organizing Practical Concerns and Feng Shui
I am safe. I switched Motels in the late afternoon from the Motel 6 South Santa Rosa to the Vagabond next door.
I had one of the worst experiences of my life sleeping at the Motel 6 South Santa Rosa.
There was noise throughout the evening and into the night. I am amazed that so many people gathered together with so little respect or awareness that there were other people living there.
It seemed that a whole culture of residents lives onsite, and the cleaning staff itself speaks loudly.
There is no respect for the smoking non smoking restrictions.
The fan in my room was not working. When I came back to pick up the remainder of my things, the fan in the bathroom was working. The bathroom reeked of stale smoke. There was no way I could have survived or felt safe.
I got a refund for my stay, other than the first night and the first night's use of internet. The internet was $2.99 a night.
Calls from Home
I had stressing calls from home.
Nad called to tell me the freezer on one of the refrigs is out.
I called and left a message for Randy who has worked with our appliances a number of times. Nad left a mess that she will call.
There is also a message I see on my Iphone from CJ.
I am concerned to answer it.
He can take me far into another direction.
I need to focus
There are loud vehicle noises at the Vagabond from the nearby Old Redwood Highway, but at least, in comparison to the Motel 6 South, this are minimal.
There was also one fire alarm that went off during the night. Someone must have gone through a door with an alarm.
It is 9:33 am
I have not slept in bed this long for the longest time.
THe curtains really block out the light.
I needed the rest.
My Original Plan was not working
Today is Sunday. I was originally scheduled to fly up here and have
Keith pick me up Monday and take us to the Motel. We would have dropped off things and then went to the fairgrounds. That would have left less that 24 hours for me to teach.
Oh my God!
I left uneasy about that plan for weeks. It was bringing up fear.
I did not like the idea of gambling that the TSA was going to approve my Pizza Box Props. I needed them.
Also, I would have had to get up at 5 am to be organized for my pickup by Morea.
That would have brought me here tired and with too much to adjust to do
on Monday.
I would have been a nervous wreak.
As it was, I got to the Petaluma Seed Back, on Day Two of the Days of Awe.
I was able to reach Paul, the head of the bank and this project on the phone.
I was able to get to the bank and take photos while Eileen, his wife, pulled the seeds that I need for show.
Making the spontaneous decision to go drive up here
The decision to drive the Enchanted Garden Mobil was near spontaneous.
I finished the Day One Services very inspired.
