These are indigenous varieties of non gmo heirloom corn. My friends at Baker Creek (Non GMO) Heirloom Seeds report that it is more and more difficult to get uncontaminated corn that does not have GMO genes in it. When GMO corn is planted near indigenous corn, the biodiverse varieties are lost.
