Removing a Photo image from Google images

After you remove a picture from the source website, a thumbnail may remain for the picture in Google image search results.

However you should be able to remove that:

In the Quick Text Guide at the top is a direct link to Webmaster Tools, the tool you can use. You just have to sign into your gmail account and you should be good to go.

Not sure I understand this:

To remove a specific image from Google Images, add the following:
User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Disallow: /images/dogs.jpg
