Leslie,

Thanks for the intro and for all the good work you are doing.

Today we have been plowing all day in our 3 acre heirloom medicine wheel garden. This project started in 1991. The goal was to help a group of Native Americans create a sustainable community based on heirlooms seeds using food production as the basis for step by step growth and development. It has been tough hard work with many set backs but also with many triumphs along the way.

On of the triumphs occurred when the co-founder of the German Green Party came over, likes what she saw and sent of 3 man videography crew to make a 45 minute documentary. I would like to send you a copy if you thought you could use it to help the heirloom seed movement. Our predatory capitalism chemical agriculture system is creating more and more illness, cancer and antibiotic resistant killer bacteria. The answer is to return to producing healthful food in ways that replenishes Mother Earth.

I have attached photos of our green house and this year's planting for the medicine wheel garden. We are short of heirloom corn. We need to find a good source for our non profit 501 c 3.

Warm regards,

Steve

517-456-7424 This is where you get the pencils, Stephen, made out of old money.
They are one of my favorite props to teach the value left in money.

Now is the time to grow our own food.

Paul,

Got the seeds.

I was working with them last night.

I have a high percentage of times when I work with seeds that it rains to collect rainwater.

It has not rained here in a long time…months.

We had the most wonderful rain through the night.

I was working with the corn seeds especially.

This morning, I took the corn outside and photographed the seeds near the rain barrel.

About one hour later, Stephen Gomes, and internationally known futurist, who works with teaching business admin and topics like that all over the world, called me requesting heirloom corn and beans and squash for a South Dakota Oglala Sioux 2 1/2 acre project.

I would call him back.

They have a small budget likely and they raise funds as they need them.

Please see what you can do to get them the seeds for sale and some donation if needed.

INVITE TO EXPO

I heard Steven speak at a conference.

His message is very powerful.

He introduced me at the end and everyone was very excited in the heirloom seeds.

My message is that our economy is worth little more than the old dead money made into an Eden pencil.

Boy, it is raining cats and dogs right now!!!!!

I would invite Stephen to speak September 10-11-12

He can also bring some traditional Native America Dancers.

I am headed up to teach with the teens in LA this morning, and will do a display about the diversity of seeds that we lose through GMO ag.

THIS IS A DAY FOR REKINDLING OF FAITH

This early morning I took the varieties of heirloom corn I received last Friday from Baker Creek out where the rain was collecting. We have not had rain for well over a a month or two months.
This was a very rare rain.

I was working with the heirloom seeds last night, prepping for a trip to LA to be part of the Biofair Science Fair at Hami High School.

About 90 minutes after I did this ritual with the corn, I got a call from Stephen Gomes, a futurist, requesting heirloom corn for a project.

This was an amazing reconnection.

He is work on a project in South Dakota and needs heirloom corn, beans, and squash.

More late. Got to go.
