Starting up another week and continuing on with a great fast.

It's another monday morning, the 9th of my current fast and I'm doing fine ;)
down to 168 from 178.2 that I started at - pretty nice for 8 days and counting... feeling much better in the body and spirit as well - more relaxed, calm and inner peace - have really come out of that rushed and stressed period I was in beforehand... well I have got a LOT done she says as she peers out the window at the sun lighting up the last remaining piles of rubbish cardboard and furniture and things still to be gone through following a massive 4 day garage overhaul to produce a new music production space and clean up the existing product warehouse - new inventory check!
Did 2 Yoga sessions last week - not a lot, but it's started shaking the frozen locked up stuff out of me, probably good to start gently as I have been pretty mangled. Did a lot of physical work to boot however with the garage and house cleaning, going on walks etc - now it's a new week - I want to continue on, and it would be good now and I'm now ready for it to try and get in a Kundalini Yoga session every day - maybe after a week of this I can go back to what I was doing before Christmas which was a daily Kundalini Yoga session followed by about half an hour or so of some more strenuous Power Yoga - adding in other yoga's from time to time, stretching myself and learning new things.. mixing it up a bit. Warming up the body this 2nd week will get me back to that...
It's not so long to get yourself in a drained, mangled muddle with a couple months of stress, dramas and an overloaded schedule - it takes far too much of a toll to live out of balance like that, not that you can always avoid it, sometimes life and goals just take over.
All the work I've put in before has made a big difference though, & I'm happy to report that this brief fast has rejuvenated me, I've already dropped that heavy bloated body that built up over that period of stagnant overworked qi - it's something I'm noticing, it's easier, quicker and the history I've had with fasting continues to reward me with so many benefits.
I'm able to fast much more easily, to stretch myself more easily - for example, I've fasted again on liquids, drinking tea, herbal teas, cocoa once or twice a day, etc
normally I used to subsist on a special honey/pollen to keep my blood sugar more steady throughout the fast - this fast I've had a lot less of that easily, no juices so far, just haven't had much issue with craving or need for much and much less symptoms of tiredness, dizziness, fatigue etc, things that used to occur a lot more on fasts.
It does get easier and easier as you go, more natural and as you progress with a lifestyle that incorporates regular seasonal fasts etc - you develop an ease in them - your body quickly recognizes the process beginning and sheds bringing you back to that revitalized place very efficiently.. detoxing continues to go on, it never ceases to amaze me how much toxin we build up in only a short time - its been only a couple short months since my last fast and my tongue has stayed white for the whole 9 days so far - makes you wonder about what the hell we're breathing in.. don't know if I'd have this same kind of reaction if I lived in the Himalayas and practiced like this
So glad I've discovered and adopted this practice in my life, it gives me a lot of confidence in being able to take charge of my own health, and in living long, staying young, being able to revitalize, go inwards, focus my mind, energies, gain clarity - avoid disease, regenerate... its wonderful, it would be a great thing to see many others take on such a wonderful practice and learn how to incorporate it into their lives, sadly it's not something many people will ever know about or try as it's quite misunderstood, there is so much taboo around fasting and so little general introduction to it in the west. Shame really. I pretty much keep it fairly quiet what I do as its so outside of the norm in our society - I do tell some good friends about the benefits.. not sure they'd make the effort to get to know it though! Good on you readers out there who have - love to encourage all of you as it's really been wonderful for me, and I hope my story can help people out there looking for others with experience - Curezone helped me so much when I was starting up this journey - sure it would have been much more confusing and dauntint without all that info and the experience of other fasters to help!
Enough for today, just checking in - I've wanted to post for a few days but I have remained very busy - not too busy like before lol, still too busy to have got to the computer to post - the results of that have been great - need to get on with a few things today and do that yoga session before I head out late this afternoon
Till Day ??
