We were invited to grind whole grain KAMUT ® with the kids at the Rancho La Puerta Posada in Tecate, Mexico.

Right now it's an idea! It is called Nadine's Healthier Pizzeria! It begins right at home in our Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Kitchen where we all love to eat, and eat the best ingredients we can find. You will find many of these ingredients in your local Health Food Store.

One of the hot Enchanted Garden Projects for 2013, will be Nadine's perfecting her Healthier Pizza Crust with KAMUT ® Khorasan wheat.

GRINDING WHEAT AT THE POSADA AT RANCHO LA PUERTA

Robert Arjona, General Manager for Rancho La Puerta, helped grind some ancient wheat of KAMUT ® Khorasan wheat as part of our kid activity offered at the Rancho La Puerta Posada December 9, 2012. As a Prize for helping to grind the wheat, the Kids and adults got to choose a gift of Heirloom Seeds to take home and plant. The day had lots of kid activities. Nadine and I were gratified to offer this nature activity. In the Olden Days of Rancho La Puerta, Edmond Bordeaux Szekely taught that it was important to grind wheat fresh for bread. I felt his spirit was smiling on us as we brought back the very enjoyable experience of grinding fresh wheat the would be made into a bread.

WE GAVE AWAY BAKER CREEK HEIRLOOM SEES TO THE KIDS WHO HELPED US GRIND FRESH KAMUT ® KHORASAN WHEAT.

The Kids had a ball and so did we!

Nadine Dominguez is on the trail of perfect products to add to the Grow A Healthier Pizza 2013. Here is is at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market with one of our favorite Vendors who offers Hani's Garlic Spreads. Nadine loves the Bragg Products that she has product tested at the JR Organic booth. Eden Foods also has a wonderful Tomato Sauce that fits in nicely. One of her intents at the Upcoming Natural Product Expo West March 7-10, 2013 will be to find other products that will add to her Healthier Pizza.

THE LATEST RESEARCH ON KAMUT ® SUGGESTS HEALTH FINDINGS

Conclusions:

The present results suggest that a replacement diet with Kamut products could be effective in reducing metabolic risk factors, markers of both oxidative stress and inflammatory status.
