I HAVE THE BEST SURGEON IN THE WORLD FOR HIP REVISIONS AND HIS NAME IS DR. WILLIAM BUGBEE

I had been counting my days for my third set of Hip surgeries. I had Hip Revisions in 2001 on both sides. That is ten years ago. Some Hip Revisions only last ten years.

Four times in 2012, the unexpected happened. After eight or nine pain-free years--and that is what Dr. William Bugbee M.D. Promised me--I started to have pain--really bad pain.

The first time--the pain hit me during the Natural Product Expo West. That is my kickoff show of the year. As I think back I was also having stress with my sweetie heart. I woke up the next day with severe stiffness in my hip and then my groan. I was unable to stretch out my left leg. I had to use a pillow under my left knee to stretch out and sleep through the first night that she left the room upset. My body felt upset too.

Luckily I knew what to do. I took Boiron's Arnica Montana 30c and AminoActiv, the natural pain reliever that Mark Faulkner had the U of Nebraska invent. The pain started to go away. It two days I was back to normal!

Looking back, I also have to say--the stress in my body also relieved as we we talked out some of the upset between us.

Their were three other incidents of this pain reoccurring. A number of them I can also relate to emotional trauma.

One was in Los Angeles. I was sitting in the car of my niece Eva. We also had my sister in the car. My sister can make anyone nervious. I also have issues with my religion. The three of us were going to the cemetery together for the first time to visit the gravesite where my mother was buried. My mother died when I was twelve years old. She died of Cancer that showed up in her breasts. It also showed up in her hips. I was very close to my mother.

The car seat was uncomfortable. That could have been a contributing factor. but again, I can see an emotional component.

Aside: Bingo!

My housemate Chef Jem is into German New Medicine. I am now having an insight! How much of a factor are the emotional causes when my hips react and start to tightening up?

This is something I want to look into in this writing project that has been mulling inside me for numbers of years.

How My Appointment went Yesterday with Dr. William Bugbee

I was feeling very nervous going into the hospital setting. I am glad Nadine was with me. I was very excited to see Dr. Bugbee! He was also very happy to see me! He is responsible to a great extent for how I am walking today! What else can I say!

I had two other surgeons walk away from my case. I was that bad off. They did not feel they could get good results. I had to find the best surgeon around in San Diego. Dr. William Bugbee took on my case, but he was also very concerned about how well my surgery would turn out. He said I might end up in a wheel chair. The best he was hoping for was that I would be pain free and able to sit.

At the time o my hip surgeries, I was having a lot of pain. It was hard for me to walk without pain, and sitting was not that comfortable either.

A skilled physician and a special procedure help reunite Zack Pekin with this board

As an avid surfer, Zack Pekin enjoys riding the waves of Southern California. He’s been surfing since he was 12. But after shattering his kneecap during his sophomore year in college, he was like a fish out of water.

.....

“For my son, I would say Dr. Bugbee saved his life,” says Carol Pekin. “Surfing is like oxygen for Zack. I’m not sure what he would do without it.”

In September 2007, Dr. Bugbee performed allograft surgery on Zack’s knee. By Christmas the same year, Zack was cleared to get back on his surfboard. He has been shredding waves ever since.

“Dr. Bugbee was our last hope,” says Carol Pekin. “He is a one-of-a-kind physician.”
