Day 18 - Continuing the Fast by BeingHere .....

I reached my goal of 170 pound. I also decided to extend the fast for another 7 to 10 days.

Two days ago I finished the fast. That was a Sunday. On Monday, yesterday, I decided to just continue. Today I started the master cleanse.

I had only heard about the master cleanse and did see two co-workes atempting it once. They failed... and manage to make the cleanse looked awful too.

I know I'm not done fasting, my tongue is still white... and it would be much easier to continue than to stop and start again so, I am

I am using raw honey from a co-worker who doesn't need it. I bought Solaray Cool Cayenne Capsules ($8) and Organic Pure Lemon Juice ($7) from Whole Foods. I know capsules nor honey are not a part of the orginal cleanse but I am adjusting it to work for me. Also, real lemons is better, and I would have picked them but I got dupped. The brand, Santa Cruz, does not mention pasturization anywhere on the bottle which I read throughly. I went to open it to make my first mixture and right after popping the top I noticed some writing... yup, in small letters the "pasteurized" message was written on the cap. Very deceiving. Not sure how hot they warm to pasteurize it but I'm letting it go since I use hot filtered water from the water fountain to make my mixture. Don't get me wrong, the lettering is red on a white background, but the placement is extremely deliberate and tactical. I'll know better next time.

I am doing so well on this cleanse. No drop in energy whatsoever. I did the salt water flush this morning and well... I didn't even have to pee. I definitely could use some salt in my system. I had to jerk up in the middle of the night to cut off a charley horse from starting. One con I found is the amount of honey is just way too much. I did a mental calorie count and it's roughly 480 calories. That is not the intake of a fast in my opinion. No wonder I was whizzing through the day. Here is what my mixture consist of:

15/16 oz of hot water

2 tablespoons of lemon juice

2 1 tablespoons of honey

(4 times a day... 8am, 12pm, 3pm, 7pm)

I am going to adjust the amount of honey to one tablespoon. I'll have two tbs if I jog. Which I haven't. I HAVE STARTED TO USE MY WEIGHTS REGULARLY, tho! I have arm muscles, yippie. But the flab is still there, not yippie. Oh speaking of weight I am 173 point something I was 169 pounds on Monday morning so I reached my goal! I don't care if it shot up 3 lbs. I know I'm on the right path. Let's have a recap of my goals:

Reach 170 lbs during this fast 1/6/2013

If I am not in mental or physical agony I'd like to extend my fast for 4 to 8 days 1/10-14/2013 (pending)

To not break this fast by eating something ridiculous because the glee of it will be incredibly short lived.

To go walking and build up to a jog during this fast so I can maximize on trimming.

But to not over due it and have terribly chest pain from over extending my body.

To start something very similar to a raw diet after coming off the fast and keep it up for at least a month. (2/6-14/2013 GW 160 lbs)

To continue some kind of exercise at least TWICE a week. (do my weights count?)

If I do not want to continue the raw diet then make a slow transition into vege/pescetarian, which is basically what I am now, minus two or three foods.

To get rid of typical bread from my diet. Transition to almond or coconut breads (not raw, I know ... I love a sandwich though so I'm being practical!)

3/15 ~ 155 lbs

4/15 ~ 150 lbs

5/15 ~ 145 lbs

6/16 ~ 140 lbs .... this is my healthy weight goal.

Only trouble now is sleep. I've been restless the last two nights with my thoughts racing and I want to take something to help me ease off so badly. I have some natural homeopathic meds... but I'll give it one more night before I venture that route.
