Today and yesterday were report card days for Nadine's KAMUT® Brand Khorasan Ancient Wheat Pizza Crust.
Mayah, who is very sensitive to wheat, said it was the best she had even tasted. Nadine made four pizzas in all. One we ate before we left to the Chrisnukah Party at Helene's. Two were eating at the party. The last was eaten at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market, shared among friends.
Brad WolfF, a food scientist, tastes the Grow A Healthier Pizza at Helene's and said, "Nadine has a real talent with dough." I will get the exact words later.
I heard this from another pizza maker. Working with dough is an art and a gift. It is something that comes with practice. Nadine has a natural gift.
This morning, December 23, 2012, I made some editing to the Flyer that now says:
HILLCREST FARMERS' MARKET PIZZA EATERS
I caught up with Freya at the tail end of the market. She helped dress up our last pizza. Phil Noble got a slice and so did some of his helpers at the Sage Mountain Booth.
The last piece went to Robert Turner, The Egg Man. He was sitting with Sanda Brown of Food For You Gourmet at the end of the Market. Both got a taste. Guess what?
Sandy sells KAMUT® and other grains at the Leucadia Farmers' Market and at Hillcrest. I had never met her before! She also had nice things to say about Nadine's Pizza crust made from 100% KAMUT® Brand Khorasan Ancient Wheat.
THE HISTORY OF THE GRAINS THAT MADE THIS HEALTHIER PIZZA
The flour used for the pizza was fresh milled december 9 by kids at the Rancho La Puerta Posada.
We took it home and keep it refrigerated.
