65TH BIRTHDAY REVIEW
Had my 65th Birthday November 19, 2012.
Looking at my successes and things and results I want to improve as I enter the second half of my life.
I was not satisfied with my experience during the months of October and November 2012. I took on both working on the Prop 37 Campaign and getting ready for the Pacific Symposium. Both of these events seemed to culminate Nov. 6.
For the final months of the Yes on Prop 37 campaign, I had to overcome many emotions, including facing a reality that numbers of my long time allies in farming were voting No on 37.
I saw numbers of others who were taking in by the Prop 37 Propaganda.
These are themes I want to explore. Prop 37 is not over for me, although my current work will be cleaning up from months of work and disregarding personal needs.
It was very difficult finishing the prop 37 campaign as I had hoped, while 'listening" for directives from my inner guidance about preparations for the Pacific Symposium 2012. Both events seemed to culminate November 6.
A few weeks after Nov. 6, i can see why it was important that I participate in the Pacific Symposium 2012.
Numbers of allies and companies in the herb industry were also voting No. I did a lot of listening. I saw that because of my relationships to these companies, I was in a position to help bridge gaps and do coalition building.

I won national honors two years in a row in the Hearst Feature Writing Contest. These feature stories were published in the Cal State Northridge student newspaper and the San Fernando Sun, where I had a part time job.
I was the editor of the San Fernando Sun for about two issues in February 1971. It was during those two weeks that the San Fernando Valley Earthquake hit. This is an amazing story that I have written about a number of times.
My journey into professional journalism detoured through a condition of paralyzing arthritis that developed early in my high school and college years. It was the Gift of this condition, called Angylosin Spondylitis in Western Medicine, that led me to meet Dr. Bernard Jensen, an elder in the Natural Healing Arts. I was the ghost writer and editor for a number of Dr. Bernard Jensen's books. He authored more than 50 books.

RELATIONSHIP TO THE PACIFIC SYMPOSIUM AND
PACIFIC COLLEGE OF ORIENTAL MEDICINE SAN DIEGO CAMPUS
It was Dr. Bernard Jensen who open the door that brought through the gates of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He was a keynote speaker at one of the early Pacific Symposium, an international Conference. I called the President of the College, Jack Miller and suggested I introduce Dr. Bernard Jensen before his talk. My relationship with the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine grew out of that opening.
For many years, I would create an Enchanted Garden Installation at the Pacific Symposium. This demonstrated in my own way some of the basic principles of ancient Chinese Medicine. Many appreciated the installations that brought nature presence to the yearly conference.
Each year I would create an Altar where people attendees were invited to "Plant Your Dream!"
2010 was the last of these Enchanted Garden Installations and Official Closing Ceremonies.
I currently have a booth at the Pacific Symposium where I show some of my favorite products and give selected sponsors an opportunity to educate about the work that they do. In 2012, we featured, Robert Slovak, US Distributor for Original Quinton Marine Plasma and its new consumer versions of Original Quinton Marine Plasma called QuintEssential 0.9 and QuintEssential 3.3.
