I am moved by this trailer, and what I know of this book.
Today is November 15, 2012. My 65th Birthday is in four days. I am going to pick up my 35 year old girlfriend Nadine in a few hours from the train station. I met Jessica Kingsley, of Jessica Kingsley Publishers, last Sunday. She reawakened a dream I believe I was born to fulfill in this life, to be a successfully published author.

The closest I have come was "The Ultimate Gardener" published by HCI a number of years back. I have six photos in that book. I wanted to be published by HCI for 14 years. I came to know this company because they published the first edition of "Chicken Soup for the Soul." I did ritual work for the success of that book and book series many years ago.

I believe I have it in me to be a successful author. I have found my niche writing on the Plant Your Dream Blog, but in truth, it is easy to write when you do not have to pass the authority of having an editor on a regular basis.

I was once published in the Huffington Post. "Chewing on Food Safety" made me feel good. The message was important.

I once came close to having a poem published in a Blue Mountain Arts Collection called "What It Means to be a Woman."

The list of authors for that Collection was profound. It felt powerful and esteeming to be in such good company.

I liked Peter Vegso, the publisher of HCI. We developed a personal relating over the years. I became personal as well with his former partner; however, there is still something more to be fulfilled in my authorship.

It is more than ego that compels a writer to write, and compels me to blog everyday. It is second nature for me to write. It is also second nature to be to have a deep need to be heard. This comes out of my own sense of abandonment both from my mother who died of Cancer when I was 12, and my relationship with my father, who is still alive today at 94. My father in his early years was a raging man. I attribute my arthritis to internal shocks that came from the death of my mother as well as the abandonment I felt from my father.

It is this deep need to be heard that I imagine compels me, and often creates a pressure between me and others. It is also a source of the passion that drives me to serve humanity. I take on difficult causes because of this need to be heard and the ultimate sense that I will not be heard. At times, I am heard. At times, I do a very good job hearing others, but there is still that internal struggle, often unseen inside me, that overtakes me motives, and drives me.

I sense that God uses us fully to do good. He makes the most of his prophets. Prophets are my nature imbalanced, as is the quality that many of them have that we call genius.

I am among those who are here to carry forward a vision for the best possible world. It is my hope that my own internal shortcomings do not stand in the way of the visions I carry. These visions go beyond my shortcomings. Often The successes and failures I feel regarding them, touches me deeply. This is the way of the prophet.
