GMO Education This Sunday at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market

Local Shoppers enjoying fresh organic foods from JR Organic earlier in the season. The pencil is from Eden Foods and is made from old dead dollar bills. I say that is about all our money is worth now...little. The new money are are remaining heirloom seeds and knowing how to use them.
LET's MAKE NOV 4 GMO EDUCATION DAY AT HILLCREST FARMERS' MARKET. PLEASE ASK YOUR FARMER HOW THEY ARE VOTING--YES OR NO ON PROP 37,
It is time for Hillcrest Shoppers to ask their local farmers this Sunday, November 3, why or why not they are voting YES on 37 or No on 37. The majority of arguments being promoted now by the NO on 37 Campaign are untrue; yet numbers of local San Diego farmers will be voting No based on these presumptions. This Sunday, ask your Hillcrest Farmer if they are voting YES or NO.
Among the arguments put forth by the No on 37 Campaign are that
Farmers would be challenged by blanket lawsuits if YES on 37 wins,
and that Grocery costs would rise. Both these arguments have been shown to be false.
Organic farmers are exempt from any added regulation from the passage of Prop 37, Blanket lawsuits against farmers are impossible. Farmers are not at risk here at all when they support this. No added red tape goes with the passage for farmers. Farmers already know the seeds they use and are regulated by the Department of Ag. Some wondered by the SD Farm Bureau was against this. Farm Bureaus are insurance companies that support and are supported by BIg Ag and Monsanto & Company.

According to U-T San Diego, it is the trial lawyers who are the driving force behind Proposition 37 (“Prop. 37 keeps looking worse,” Editorial, Oct. 24). In fact, Proposition 37 places the onus directly on product manufacturers who are responsible for labeling their own packaging, a common industry practice.
Farmers and retailers are protected against lawsuits under Prop. 37, which states that “any person may rely on a sworn statement from his supplier that their (food or seed) product has not been knowingly or intentionally genetically engineered.”
Do people know that the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has never done a safety study on these products. Instead, they have relied on data voluntarily submitted from the industry. People have become guinea pigs, and if you want to be part of this experiment, fine. But for the rest of us, we have a right to choose not to be.
Consumers have the right to know if our food has been genetically engineered. That is why The Consumers Union, the California Council of Churches, the Consumer Federation of America and the American Public Health Association are just a few of the organizations supporting Proposition 37. – Elizabeth Fattah, La Jolla
A group of Fresno Farmers this week called a meeting to confirm their support for YES on Prop 37;
Supporters like Fresno County organic dairy operator Mark McAfee said opponents are using scare tactics to frighten consumers.
"The truth is that this is pro-farmer and pro-consumer," McAfee said. "And while it may be a little anti-Monsanto and anti-processor, that is OK because they don't feed the world, we do."
It can be added, they are attempting to scare local farmers as well, and the local farmers at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market need to know where you stand.
Grocery Bills Will Not Go Up; Deceptive No Mailers Say Otherwise
A recent study found that a family could pay at least $400 more a year if the proposition passes, according to the No side.
Tara Hamilton, an organic farmer in Fresno County, said that estimate is inflated. She said food makers are already mandated to label their products with items such as nutritional values. Adding genetically modified ingredients should not be that costly.
"All we are asking for is three little words," Hamilton said. "How difficult can that be?"
Supporters like Fresno County organic dairy operator Mark McAfee said opponents are using scare tactics to frighten consumers.
San Marzano tomatoes were featured at a late Oct Hillcrest FM at Suzie's. Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds gave 160,000 San Marzano Seeds to the Label GMO campaign earlier in the year. These make great Grow A Healthier Pizza Fixings.
SAGE MOUNTAIN FARM IS A GREAT PLACE TO FIND SUPPORTERS OF YES ON 37
The water that grows the food comes from deep wells.
THE NO ON 37 U-T CALLS PROP 37 A SCAM AND REPEATS MOST OF THE MONSANTO & CO FALSE PR:
MONSANTO WOULD LIKE GMO AG IN SD COUNTY
LOCAL SCIENTISTS ARE BOTH SAYING NO AND YES
In the long run, Monsanto & Companions, the big sponsors behind No on 37, would like to see San Diego go the way of Biotech Ag. Numbers of local UCSD Plant Scientists, Biotech supporters, are already in this camp. 11 UCSD professors are voting no said, one of Biotechs lead UCSD sponsors, Dr. Maateen Chrispeels, in a October 23 GMO panel. Meanwhile, Dr. Robert Schubert, another panelists confirmed that GMO are untested on humans, and that we are in a great experiment without knowing the results.
See this plant your dream blog for more on the Issue of where the local scientists stand
MEANWHILE MONSANTO IS MOVING TOWARD MORE AND MORE GMO DEEDPROLIFERATION
Mansanto and other international corporations have spent more than $44 Million so far to keep Calfornia in the dark about which foods they eat contain GMO ingredients. Monsanto's GMO tech has already been labeled in more than 44 countries. They are fighting for their life here, especially in San Diego, a county that can grow most of its own food 12 months a year. We have a thriving local food movement of Urban Ag. GM Seeds and Heirloom seeds will not grow together here. The GM seeds contaminate Organic crops. This is well known info.
FYI, MONSANTO IS OUT TO OWN THE WORLD'S SEEDS. THEY ARE ALREADY HAVING MAJOR IMPACT ON THE WORLD'S FOOD SUPPLY
Monsanto already own 45% or more of the world's seeds and are buying up organic companies as they can. They are great investors in most well known Seed Bank in Norway where the last remaining seed stock are stored.
GMO Seeds and its technology hurt local and and national soil and people's health. Watch the flm "Bitter Seeds" and be forewarned.
One indian farmer every 30 minutes commits suicide according to this film. They bought into GMO Ag.
THE NO ON 37 HAD BEEN SHOWN TO BE FILLED WITH FALSE ADVERTISINGYET THE LOCAL U-T AND NUMBERS OF TV STATIONS ARE BEHIND IT
This has been clearly shown to be false advertising, yet homes in San Diego are being blanketed with this information.
THE U-T STORY
MORE ON GROCERY BILLS GOING
Here is a more accurate assessment:
Prop 37 will cost consumers next to nothing, unless you choose to buy non-GMO food that happens to be more expensive. While anti-Prop 37 ads claim the cost to consumers will be $400 annually, that is based on a study (funded by the No on 37 camp) that assumes they will have to switch to non-GMO foods and charge more for them. This is a strange assumption that does not reflect the language of Prop 37, which does not ban GMO foods.
--Dr. Dayla Pino, Phd Huffington Post
An extract from the Sacramento Bee article reads:
The ad says the measure will ban products that don't carry the required labels, but those foods could still be sold – without the labels – if the manufacturers go organic or use ingredients that are not genetically engineered.
In fact, the assertion that Proposition 37 will raise grocery prices is based on the belief that many companies will switch to costlier non-genetically engineered ingredients instead of putting the new labels on their food.
That was the conclusion of an economic study paid for by the No on Proposition 37 campaign – which is funded largely by biotech companies and major food and beverage manufacturers. The report said the typical California household would see a $350 to $400 annual increase in grocery prices if companies switched to non-genetically engineered ingredients. No independent studies have confirmed those estimates.
The assertion that the measure would "cost California taxpayers millions for more bureaucracy and red tape" exaggerates estimates from the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst's Office, which figures regulation of food labeling would cost a few hundred thousand dollars to $1 million annually.
FORMER SEC OF AG A.J;. KAWAMURA AGREED TO SUPPORT A DIALOGUE
ON SCIENCE, ETHICS, AND FOOD WHEN WE MET
Also in this video is a clip from the father of Biotech ag.
HAVING AN HONEST DIALOGUE ON SCIENCE, ETHICS, AND FOOD WITH YOUR LOCAL FARMER
Now is time--before Nov 6 to open an Honest Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food. It would be one thing for the No on 37 to win at the polls Nov. 6, but if San Diego Farmers who now only use heirloom and conventional seeds, are being taken in by a $44 Million Campaign of Deception, that will encourage GMO seeds, that is the equivalent of Voter suppression,
ON GMO AND ORGANIC SEEDS
If GMO companies have their way, all seeds will be GMO within a matter of years. GMO Seeds and Organic Seeds cannot co-exist. GMO Seeds contaminate Organic Seeds.
All People of the world are intended to Co-Exist, and stealing our Sacred Seed heritage disallows this.

All People of the world are intended to Co-Exist, and stealing our Sacred Seed heritage disallows this.
AN HONEST DIALOGUE ON SCIENCE,ETHICS, AND FOOD IS NEEDED NOW
You are invited, as a member of the YES AND NO on 37 voter communities, to attend the Hillcrest Farmers' Market this Sunday, 9-2. Please come prepared to spend money for your weekly food, be it organic or conventional, or GMO. You will find choice here at the Hillcrest Famrers' Market. Many of our prepared food vendors use GMO ingredients for those who enjoy these. Please ask them.
Note that by the new Prop 37 law, if it passes, these prepared food vendors will be exempt from the new regulations. The bill will just cover processed foods. Farmers will not be burdened with more regulations or oversight, inspire of what the No Mailouts suggest.
HERE ARE GOOD QUESTIONS TO ASK
Why is the SD Farm Bureau Voting No on 37?
Why is CCOF voting Yes? The California Certificed Organic Farmers.
Why is Monsanto & Friends, who now own more 45% of the world's seeds, spending $44 Million to convince farmers to vote No?
Vote with your dollar November 3, here at the Hillcrest FM and throughout CA.

DR MERCOLA NOV 2:
"It’s “Do or Die” Time…
While these chemical companies claim their genetically engineered seeds will one day feed the world, they lie to us and create massive amounts of patented genetically engineered sugar beets, soy, and corn for high fructose corn syrup.
These crops are not fit to feed cattle, much less humans. How can anyone ignore the fact these companies are producing products that are devastating human health while monopolizing our entire agriculture and food system?"
