What's With the Idea of Planting a Grass Roots Movement
in CA?

THE 7.5 MILLION + 2 WENT INTERNATIONAL AT THE NATIONAL HEIRLOOM EXPO
Carlo Petrini Founder of the International Slow Food Movement, signed the
7.5 + 2 in support of CA's Right to Know on September 11, 2012 at the 2nd Annual National Heirloom Expo.
Here is Carlo with his friend, Bob Quinn, who has inspired millions of acres of KAMUT ® Khorasan Ancient Wheat to be grown from a handful of seeds in the last twenty years.

Prop 37 was a Historic People's Initiative that came out of CA and was destined to shift our understanding of Food Safety across the entire Nation, and shift GMO farming practices around the world.*
Near a million of us in CA called forth the Right to Know Label Genetically Engineered Food Act. Nov 6, election day in CA, was only the Beginning of our campaign to plant the Greatest Grassroots movement in CA History. Our Rally Cry is "Grow A Healthier Pizza!" The Right to Know & Knowing How to Grow Some of Our Food are principles for Cultivating long overdue Pure Food Reform. We no longer look to commercial Interests in Gov or Big Ag to help us Keep Our Beat with Nature. America The Beautiful--and Prophetic Voices from the Past, Present, and Future--the very nature of the Seed--are looking to us to hear and be a Different Drummer now. Come together--Unity and diversity-- to reclaim our Biodiversity.

*That is why, in my perception, the No to Prop 37 Campaign fought so hard and spent so much to keep Californians in the dark about their Right to Know what was in their food. Around the world, 50 than 40 nations had already banned or labeled GMO Foods. Many of these countries would not buy US Exports. The US and Canada, two of the main nations that backed GMOs through Government Policy, questioned the success of this technology if the measure passed.
