A Recap of the Last 10 Days by SuperWoman29 .....

I'm still going strong :)

Hello. I actually attempted to set up this blog at the beginning of my fast, but for some unfortunately reason, it didn't go through.

The fast I am currently on is quite simple. I basically stay below 20 grams of sugar (from the juice of course) per day. I mainly stick to lemons, limes, diluted unsweetened cranberry juice (from concentrate, but can you blame me?), and half and orange here and there. I believe this is working because whatever has grown in my abdomen (possible fibroids?) seems to really like sugar.

I am actually a bodybuilder, so the decision to go on another fast (I did one successfully in June for 9 days, but I allowed myself a bit more sugar) was difficult. However, it got to the point where my muscles were barely visible, my stomach looked pregnant, and I had developed visible cellulite, so enough was enough. It is beyond frustrating when you eat a healthy, all natural diet (low on carbs) that has always worked for you, then all of a sudden, you start gaining weight for no reason. After 4 months, I have finally figured out that the pesticides used either around my building, or on the golf course directly in front of my apartment are causing hormonal havoc.

So the last ten days went something like this:

All days I drank fresh lemon juice, a small amount of OJ (both fresh), diluted unsweetened cranberry, and tons of decaf green tea.

Day 1: I recall ending my cardio session at the gym and looking at myself in the mirror with disgust. My decision was final. The rest of the days was spent drinking water and juicing a couple of lemons - I added cayenne and stevia to this mixure.

Day 2: I remember feeling emotionally down and very impatient. I wasn't hungry. My body was very happy to not have to break down any more food to add to the toxic load.

Day 3: This was the first day I felt "thin" again. I mainly was drinking that common drink of lemon, orange (no more than one whole per day!), and diluted unsweetened cranberry with ginger, nutmeg, and cinnimon. The funny thing is that my boobs were still huge and my period hadn't come yet.

Day 4: I was very energetic, and started to feel that inner peace and calm. But then, while walking around Walmart - HEALING CRISIS! I started to become nauseous and thought I was going to faint. Thankfully I didn't. It reminded me of when my cyst burst - minus the pain and the seizure. It was gone within 20 minutes.

Day 5: Holy eurekia, my period came two days early! I was so happy. That was a great sign. Had my usual juices. Was able to work. Felt good.

Day 6: Same as usual from what I can remember...my abdomen started going down some more.

Day 7: Boobs still a little sore, but I've slimmed down some more (period helps). No crampring. Today I helped my dad clear my old room. I will be staying there in a couple weeks to get away from the suspected pesticides around my apartment. My energy was good despite all that cleaning and lack of fresh juices.

Day 8: Ran some errands. Was very excited to go out and party for Labor Day.

Day 9: Ok, this is where things got ugly. It is not directly related to the fast, but perhaps you'll find it interesting. Monday morning before going to bed, the paranychia on my finger looked tender (had it for a week), so I soaked it in ACV, epsom salt, a little baking soda, thinking it would draw the toxins out. BAD IDEA! 10 minutes after removing it from the solution, my finger swelled up like a balloon! It hurt so bad I couldn't sleep, and was contemplating the ER. I friggin hate hospitals (they would drug me anyway), so out of desperation, I took half a pain killer. Then, the most out of body thing happened. I felt dizzy, and litterally felt the pain travel from my finger to my neck! I could barely move it. I thought I was paralyzed. I never reacted to this drug like that before. I admit, the fast could have provoked this, but who knows. I was so scared to even sleep because I feared turning the wrong way would break my neck.

I think I slept in hour inervals later that day. Missed my party of course :( I was mad at myself, but soon let it go. That finger pain was worse than my neck...I just prayed my spine wasn't damaged.

Day 10: The neck pain is SLOWLY going away. I'd been in the house for two days, so I drove locally just to get out. Glad I did. You know that saying "Use it or lose it"? Walking around Target and driving helped loosen my body up. The tanning calmed my nerves as well.
