It is 5:59 am, June 30, 2012. There are 62 Days left before The Caravan, September 1-September 10, to the National Heirloom Expo, September11, 12 & 13 in Santa Rosa, CA.
The Caravan to the National Heirloom Expo is one Leg of the Journey to Win Back Our Sacred Seeds, but it is not the only leg of this important series of Moments of Awakening that is asked now if we are to move from the mind state of War to the mind state of giving birth to 1000 years of Peace.
1000 Years of Peace is the destiny of the millennium 2000-3000. We are living today, I am living today, dedicated that we outgrow our War mind.
I am seeking others to join me in this Journey of Awakening. It is a journey of regaining our Beat of Nature. The Regaining comes as we plant seeds that we might regain our confidence that we can grow some of our own food.
The very act of planting a Seed gives us the opportunity to Grow a Whole New World.
Plant a Seed. Grow a Whole New World
I will address this possibility in future "Walking Papers." Al Jolson, who was the first singer to be heard in a talking Movie after the Silent Movie Era, made popular one song that said, "I would walk a million millions for one of your smiles."
I understand this very well. I would walk a million miles for the smile of a child.
It is this, the Smile of a Child, that comes Winning Back Our Sacred Seeds.
Beginning at the Beginning
There are many Religious and Spiritual Traditions that know the power of a Sacred Seed.
I will discuss some of them before long. Let me just stop here

SACRED SEED PRAYER
This is one of the Sacred Seed Prayers that Leslie wrote. Why is it so important to have heirloom seeds from Baker Creek and other original seed companies? We need heirloom seeds to do this prayer!
Place the Original Seed in your mouth while you say these words to yourself. The seed will calibrate your DNA. This is mystical wisdom from many including a woman named Anastasia, who legend says was raised by wolves in the harsh terrain of Siberia! Her story is told in the Ringing Cedars Books.
Leslie says it is impossible to do this Prayer with Seeds that have been Genetically Altered in a Laboratory by Modern methods of Genetic Manipulation that produce what are called GMOs, or Trangenic Seeds.
Transgenic Seeds have harmed many "Sacred Seeds" in indigenous Cultures. Their very livelihood depends on having the rich diversity of gene material maintained with heirloom seeds.
Dr. Bernard Jensen, Leslie's spiritual father, taught that Culture is carried forward by the Genes that are in Seeds. The uniqueness of a culture is determined by its unique seeds! Different Seeds allow a Jewish Culture to be different from Chinese Culture.
This is what Dr. Bernard Jensen learned from the Ancient Sacred Seed Teachers.
If this is true, it means that our ingredients that we eat matter. If this is true, It makes it necessary to that we have a RIght to Know what is in our ingredients that that we begin to study Labels!!!

God Willing, this September, during the time of the 2012 Frey Vineyard organic and biodynamic Wine harvest in Redwood Valley, I will have the opportunity to return to the very sacred land of the Frey Family in Mendiicino County. I will travel here as part of my Journey to Win Back Our Sacred Seed.
Katrina Frey is one of my favorite "Sacred Seeds."
Katrina Frey is indeed on of the stellar community activists of our time. She was instrumental in the political action in Medocino County that pushed back the company named Monsanto that owns most of our food bearing seeds.
The actions of Katrina Frey and her friends there showed others in California that it was possible, in spite of great budgets of those who worked against her and their project, to Win Back Our Sacred Seeds through organizing a Grass Roots Movement so strong that it was more powerful than all the money that could be spent against it.

THE DEDICATION FOR WINNING OUR SACRED SEEDS BACK
'Keeping The Dream Alive' refers to an inspiration that has been alive in me for years. The Dream, originally to Keep the Dream Alive of the work of Dr. Bernard Jensen, expanded in Spring 2012 through a series of events.
When I first met Dr. Bernard Jensen I had just graduated college. He was my first experience out of college and our work together set the tone of my entire life.
It was through one of our first meetings, when I moved to the HIdden Valley Health Ranch, that he told me about Alfred W. McCann, a journalist and author who had written "The Science of Eating" and "Starving America." Dr. Bernard Jensen wanted me to follow in the footsteps of this muckraker.
It was through McCann's book, "The Science of Eating" that I came upon my inspiration for the next Leg of the Journey to Win Back Our Sacred Seeds.
2012 is the 100th Anniversary of one of McCann's Heroes and allies, Dr. Harvey W. Wiley M.D. Many attribute Dr. Wiley to being the Father of the FDA.
Stephanie Anderson of Selene River Press...is to be Congratulated for Keeping the Dream Alive
Stephanie Anderson, the wife of Mark P. Anderson, is to be congratulated for bringing Keeping Alive what would have been the lost work of Dr. Wiley. His work was pointing out the failings of government in regard to Food Policy. It is as if many today, who are coming to awareness, that we are having problems with Food, Economic, and Social Injustice imagine that what we are dealing with today is some kind of anomaly. It is not an anomaly. It is a trend. The FDA and forces with the USDA have been under the influence of Special Interests for more than 100 years at least.
At this the 100 Anniversary of Dr. Harvey W. Wiley, I am honored and say I am grateful to take up the cause to fulfill what he had in mind, a Just Food Policy for America.
I could never imagine just a big task without your help.

The failure to enforce the pure food laws established by Harvey Wiley and the U.S. Congress during the turn of the last century allowed harmful additives to be a part of the manufactured foods system in the U.S. This is believed to be the root of most cancers experienced today by the U.S. population. Before these additives were in the food supply cancer was rare amongst the U.S. population. Harvey Wiley warned about this threat of increased disease via his writings and experimentation. In fact, many copies of his book, “The History Of A Crime Against The Pure Food Law” mysteriously vanished. Could it have been an attempt by the manufacturers to hide the dangers of their practices? It is the family that must preserve health, strength and values for the future generations.
Now his conviction is understood.
Foreseeing the demise of the nation’s health, he continues to write voraciously. Among his many writings is his story of the Pure Food Law in which he portrays one of the elements in history that contributes to the mystery of how the most blessed nation in the world has unnecessarily suffered under its own indulged weakness. Millions of Californians are without their knowledge eating GMOs every day. GMOs are Genetically Modified Organisms. They have been in our food for a number of decades. Somebody thought this was O.K. to include GMOs in the daily foods we eat, but did not take the time to ask us first if we wanted them there. Near 50 nations of the world have the integrity to give their people choice to know if they are eating GMOs in their corn, soy, and a host of other foods, but in the US, since the inception of the FDA in 1906, Commercial interests that have placed profits over producing healthy kids and influenced heavily our food Supply. tCongress, in Fall 2011, declared that Tomato Sauce qualified Pizza as a vegetable to keep from the added expense of improving foods in our schools. From our point of view, kids would benefit from more and more healthy ingredients. Toward that end, we are coming together, bonding together, opening an honest Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food about GMOs, We are here to educate ourselves, and our fellow Californians that we might each stand in the light about what we are eating. We believe that in signing this petition we are Cultivating Food Justice on our own tables. Our bottleline is that we have a Right to Know our food ingredients. We call on each other to Label GMOs, and intent to create a massive grassroots movement to support this.
We love California. We love good food. Many of us are regaining confidence now that we can grow some of our own foods. We trust the process of initiative in the Golden State. We come together now as registered voters, and as others around the country and from many nations, that the people of California become aware that GMOs are in many of our foods. We each, endorse the California Right to Know Label GMOs. We are letting each other know that we are standing together here to Grow a Healthier Pizza for our Kids.
