The California Right to Know Label GMO Foods Ballot Initiative, to be voted on November 6, is a Golden State Issue that will effect the course of history of GMO Labeling throughout the US. Eyes from other States and Nations are already looking to you and I for what we each will do to make sure this Consumer Rights Labeling issue passes/ Close to 50 nations already 'Label it!--GMOs--but not here in the US, where Special Interests have prevailed over Congress, the FDA and segments of the USDA for more than 100 years.
We, the Voters, of California, will need a couple more than the majority of voters saying "Yes" at the polls November 6. According to Pamm Larry, the Grandma who inspired the Label GMO in California Movement. we will need a simple majority of those voting to win this. In the last general election 15 million voted. Half of that number is 7.5 Million + 2" to win by that calibration.

I am counting votes now. I want to know, day by day, how big our support in light of the massive education and disinformation campaign that is being waged.
I want our Grass Roots Movement to be so strong, that even if my friends at Monsanto spend every nickel of their billion upon billion profits made in chemicals, Round Up Ready herbicide, and Agent Orange, etc. the organizations they are supporting in California with megabucks, cannot win this.

The Decision to Back GMOs is a Government Decision
The decision to favor GMO foods goes all the way to the White House. President Obama, in spite of giving word that if elected in 2008 he would push to Label GMO Foods, has his hands tied by corporate interests that now dictate our Food and Farm BIll Policy.
Michelle wants to improve school lunches and get people organically grown but her husband shares the bed with the farm bed of GMO Ag. The Moneybag of Special Interests, and of untested science regarding GMO Safety is now in the marketplace. Very clearly, Washington is GMO turf, in an age when, for our very thrival, future headlines will read: "Uncle Sam Marries "Anti" GMO.
Nov 6 goes deeper than just Labeling GMO Foods. I want to see a national awakening. I want to see us Win Back Our Sacred Seeds. "Sacred Seed" Means more than heirloom seeds. It is a reference to you, who you are, and your capacity to Plant Your Dream. Without the finest of local, organic and beyond foods, and foods you learn to grow, I do not believe you have what it takes to connect your soul with soil.
Grow a Healthier Pizza
The Rally Cry for the "7.5 Million + 2" Petition is "Grow a Healthier Pizza" In november 2011, Congress, allowed the "pizza" industry to prevail over children's health, Industry said that the addition of two tablespoons of tomato sauce qualified pizza as a vegetable. This was done to keep the status quo in our school lunch programs that starve kids of vital minerals for their dreams to succeed.
Since the beginning of what became the FDA and USDA, the two agencies that dictate Food Policy, the nutritional needs of kids and adults have as neatly sliced as bleached white dough.
2012--This is the 100th Anniversary of the Pure Food Law
Around 1906, a government employed chemist named Dr. Harvey M. Wiley, M.D., and one of his allies, Alfred W. McCann, a fellow muckraker in government, bonde to give our nation a Pure Food Law.
The Pure Food Law passed Congress. It outlawed the adulteration of foods, and would have prevented the conditions of obesity, andpoor health we have today. The law even allowed industrial hemp to be grown here, just as Geo Washington had done. The upper hand of advertising, marketing, and Special Interests, the same interests that own gov today, prevailed.
2012 is the 100 Anniversary of Wiley leaving his post with the job unfulfilled.

Dr. Wiley, who in 1930 wrote a book called "Crimes Against The Pure Food Law," raged against a 1912 Supreme Court position where millers won in their case to have chemical white bleaching of flour. He warned that flour would forever more be, "as white and waxy as the face of a corpse." (See Aaron-Bobrow-Strai"White Bread: A Social History of the Store-Bought Loaf.")
McCann, in his books "The Science of Eating" (1919) and"Starving America (Free Online) state my position:
"it will be a long time before Congress will successfully grapple with the facts.."
My belief, and McCann's is "The work must be done in the schools.
McCann and I say, “Our American children must be taught the meaning of depraved foods, They must learn how foods are processed, bleached, colored, sifted, bolted, denatured, degerminated, demineralized, chemically treated and refined; that they must be taught the relationship of foodless food to sickness and death; that they must be taught the relationship of natural food to health and life.”

Millions of Californians are without their knowledge eating GMOs every day. GMOs are Genetically Modified Organisms. They have been in our food for a number of decades. Somebody thought this was O.K. to include GMOs in the daily foods we eat, but did not take the time to ask us first if we wanted them there. Near 50 nations of the world have the integrity to give their people choice to know if they are eating GMOs in their corn, soy, and a host of other foods, but in the US, since the inception of the FDA in 1906, Commercial interests that have placed profits over producing healthy kids and influenced heavily our food Supply. tCongress, in Fall 2011, declared that Tomato Sauce qualified Pizza as a vegetable to keep from the added expense of improving foods in our schools. From our point of view, kids would benefit from more and more healthy ingredients. Toward that end, we are coming together, bonding together, opening an honest Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food about GMOs, We are here to educate ourselves, and our fellow Californians that we might each stand in the light about what we are eating. We believe that in signing this petition we are Cultivating Food Justice on our own tables. Our bottleline is that we have a Right to Know our food ingredients. We call on each other to Label GMOs, and intent to create a massive grassroots movement to support this.
We love California. We love good food. Many of us are regaining confidence now that we can grow some of our own foods. We trust the process of initiative in the Golden State. We come together now as registered voters, and as others around the country and from many nations, that the people of California become aware that GMOs are in many of our foods. We each, endorse the California Right to Know Label GMOs. We are letting each other know that we are standing together here to Grow a Healthier Pizza for our Kids.

Someone asked, how many people voted in California? She said 15 million. She said that we needed a couple people plus 50 % to win the California Right to Know Label GMOs Ballot Proposition. Millions of Californians are without their knowledge eating GMOs every day. GMOs are Genetically Modified Organisms. They have been in our food for a number of decades. Somebody thought this was O.K. to include GMOs in the daily foods we eat, but did not take the time to ask us first if we wanted them there. Near 50 nations of the world have the integrity to give their people choice to know if they are eating GMOs in their corn, soy, and a host of other foods, but in the US, since the inception of the FDA in 1906, Commercial interests that have placed profits over producing healthy kids and influenced heavily our food Supply. tCongress, in Fall 2011, declared that Tomato Sauce qualified Pizza as a vegetable to keep from the added expense of improving foods in our schools. From our point of view, kids would benefit from more and more healthy ingredients. Toward that end, we are coming together, bonding together, opening an honest Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food about GMOs, We are here to educate ourselves, and our fellow Californians that we might each stand in the light about what we are eating. We believe that in signing this petition we are Cultivating Food Justice on our own tables. Our bottleline is that we have a Right to Know our food ingredients. We call on each other to Label GMOs, and intent to create a massive grassroots movement to support this.
We love California. We love good food. Many of us are regaining confidence now that we can grow some of our own foods. We trust the process of initiative in the Golden State. We come together now as registered voters, and as others around the country and from many nations, that the people of California become aware that GMOs are in many of our foods. We each, endorse the California Right to Know Label GMOs. We are letting each other know that we are standing together here to Grow a Healthier Pizza for our Kids.

I was with Pamm Larry, May 29, 2012. She is the Grandma who started the California Right to Know Label GMOs Proposition that is on the Nov 6 ballot. Someone asked, how many people voted in California? She said 15 million. She said that we needed a couple people plus 50 % to win the California Right to Know Label GMOs Ballot Proposition. So...I thought...that meant we needed a magical number: "7.5 Million + 2 Californians" to Vote "Yes." Get it?
The "7.5 Million + 2" Petition is about counting our numbers now, and helping to build the most powerful Grassroots Movements California has seen.
