Pizza Pilgrimage & Kamut Dreams by YourEnchantedGardener .....

Pizza Pilgrimage & Kamut Dreams: In this Plant Your Dream Blog, written the morning after my annual Passover-Easter Retreat to the Desert, I reflect on "Arundo & Wheat, my two plant teachers for 2012. I see an amazing future for both plants, as the world begins to seeks to come back to its indigenous roots. Here are listed some of my latest Seed Dreams for Ancient Knorasan wheat, named Kamut by Bob Quinn.

The Passover Village 2012 is now history. Each Passover-Easter Season I go on a desert Retreat, and there I pray for my friends. Two friends I have this year of 2012 are "Arundo Donax & Wheat." Both Plants were highly honored in the sacred tent of the Village where they stood as pillars of the Mishkan--the Sacred Altar.'

can grow some of their own food

Arundo Donax, THe Giant Reed, I have been writing about for six months. I want to make a point: IF you are going to grow it: Grow it only in a pot. It is considered among the most highly hated Public Enemies thanks to the Invasive Species Propaganda Machine. I grow Arundo in a pot as a statement: I believe this plant has hidden virtues and values yet to be discovered, and if not tended correctly it can harm.

More on the Lessons of Arundo are here:

My Second Plant for 2012 is the Ancient Wheat, Khorasan, now called Kamut thanks to Bob Quinn

The lessons of Kamut are many. Wheat has become one of the most overcivilized of grains, and modern wheat is implicated in numbers of disseases of our time, including Obesity. The problem is not in the wheat kernal, but how has been commercialized.

Wheat is only one of many grains. Dr. Bernard Jensen, an elder in the Natural Healing Arts, pointed out that decades ago, that 1/4 of the US Diet had become wheat--and this alone can cause problems. The problem, as I see it, is that Nature gives us a bounty of grains, each of a unique mineral balance. Huamn beings were never intended to just be wheat logged, as Dr. Bernard Jensen said.

Dr. Alfred McCann, one of my Food Safety Heroes for 2012, writes extensively about the crimes against wheat.

Thanks to Bob Quinn, Wheat is being restored to a holier place. Whenever using wheat, I prefer Khorasan wheat, now known as Kamut, as Bob Quinn calls it, Ancient Wheat for Modern Times.

Here are a few of the Kamut Projects that I will be doing in 2012:

In The Jewish world, wheat is used as a sacrament. Challah as it is called has a prayer over it that is repeated on Friday and Saturday during the Shabat.

During the Passover, Wheat is used to make Matzah, the Bread of Affliction.

The Afikomen is used on the sedar plate.

Arundo will never be Eradicated; it is here to stay so make friends with it
