Special Guest Referee – Shawn Michaels

The Undertaker versus Triple H

Shawn Michaels makes his entrance first, and then Jim Ross comes out to call the match. This is going to great, especially with JR making the call.

Triple H enters from a giant smoking skull crown like thing. It’s understated from last year’s epic entrance.

Undertaker’s entrance Undertaker finally drops his hood and reveals that yes, he is now shaven bald, like Randy Orton short. It’s certainly a different look for him. The two men stare each other down even before the Cell drops.

Taker takes control early on the outside of the ring. They take turns slamming each other into the cage and then Taker hits him with a backdrop on the outside of the ring. Taker keeps control still on the outside. HHH into the cage again. Triple H now tossed into the stairs. It’s been all Taker so far.

Back in the ring, HHH uses the knee with a facebuster, but Taker pops right back up with a clothesline. Taker goes Old School and it connects. Back on the outside Taker measures HHH with a shot from the ring steps.

Taker then brings the base of the ring steps in the ring. Taker with his vintage leg drop off the apron onto HHH’s throat. Triple H fights back with a DDT. HHH then bashes Taker’s face into that stair base. He looks for a Pedigree on the steps but Taker backdrops out. They brawl mid-ring and HHH hits a sick Double A spinebuster onto Taker onto the steps.

Taker rebounds quickly with Hell’s Gate. But Triple H literally powers out of it and slams him down for the first two count of the match. HHH retrieves two steel chairs and wears UT out with a chair in the stomach and on the back. He sets up the steps in the corner and rams Taker right into them. Another sick chair shot to UT’s back. This leads a sick series of chair shots to Undertaker’s back, like close to a dozen. He then takes he edge of the chair to Undertaker for more punishment. Michaels tries to stop HHH and they get in each other’s face.

HHH pushes Shawn down and lays out UT with more chair shots. Shawn pleads with UT to quit but Taker warns him not to stop the match. Taker to his feet and HHH measures him with a shot in the stomach with the chair and another spine shot. HHH gets two.

UT again pleads with Shawn to not stop it. HHH finds his trusty sledgehammer and then argues with Shawn again about “ending it.” HHH lays out Taker with a sledgehammer shot to the face. He gets a sick close two count. HHH looks to hammer Taker in the spine but Shawn pulls the hammer away and throws it out of the ring.

Again HHH pleads with Shawn to end the match. Shawn looks down on UT but Taker traps him in the Hell’s Gate. HHH stops it by posting Taker with a hammer shot. Taker with a low blow to HHH as he tries for another hammer shot. But Shawn is still out and doesn’t see it. Triple H is out but there’s no Shawn to end the match.

Referee Charles Robinson runs down and gets in the ring to carry on the officiating. Taker with a chokeslam for a sick two count. Taker then chokeslams Robinson straight to hell. Taker looks for a Tombstone, HHH pops out of it and Taker walks into Sweet Chin Music from Michaels. HHH then hits a Pedigree for another crazy two count. That was an awesome sequence.

The crowd is unglued at this point. HHH, frustrated, tosses Michaels to the floor. An enraged Taker gets up and destroys HHH with a series of kicks. He hits Snake Eyes and a running big boot. Then a legdrop. HHH then walks into a Tombstone. Shawn back in to make the count and again it’s an insanely close two count.

Michaels now down in the corner beside himself as both competitors are down on their back. Both men trade punches on their knees as they try to climb up to their feet. On their feet they trade punches. HHH slides out of a Tombstone and into another Pedigree, for a two count.

The crowd is unglued again and a smile is creeping on my face. This is just great, and what everyone hoped and expected it would be.

Taker with the zombie sit up and his back is like hamburger right now. HHH crawls to the sledgehmmer while Taker crawls to a chair. Taker up first and steps on the sledgehammer as HHH tries to get up. Taker then measures HHH with sick chair shots. He gets another two count after more chair shots on HHH.

HHH crawls to the hammer again as Taker stalks him. Taker catches the hammer .


Taker now with the hammer as HHH is slumped in the corner. HHH then tells Taker to suck it and so Taker drops him with a sick hammer shot.

Straps are down on Taker as HHH tries to crawl up Taker. Taker then plants Hunter with another Tombstone. Gets the crossed arm cover for the final three count.

Winner – Undertaker
