the people of the dead sea scrolls were called essenes. dr. bernard jensen loved the essenes very much. i know that charlotte gerson features one of the essene books, "the essene gospel of peace" on her lovely gerson institute website. each birthday, the essenes would plant a tree to their offspring. this was a tradition. by the time the child was full grown they had something of great value, an orchard. i want to thank charlotte gerson and her family at the gerson institute for reawakening this memory in me. this is a tradition i would like to see begin again. if you do not have space to plant a tree, then grow a plant in a pot. this was something i learned from edmond bordeaux szekely, the 20th century renaissance prophet. patricia bragg is another of the essene prophets of this day. you know the essenes by what they do, by their actions. the bronners say wash with a clean conscious. how very essene. the essential, the sacred calls out to each of us. this is not a matter of religion. my greatest joy is seeing how many different ways i can celebrate the divine. the future is about being of all-one-faith in our common destiny on spaceship earth. the earth is an orb in motion, dr. bernard jensen would teach. let us--lettuce-- all come together now.
