Santa Cruz, CA, (March 5, 2012)Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) will celebrate American organic family farmers in a big way at the Natural Products Expo West conference and trade show being held at the Anaheim Convention Center March 8 - 11, 2012.

OFRF is pleased to host our 15th Annual Luncheon to kick-off this increasingly popular gathering of who's who in the organic industry. This year's luncheon will include a tribute to the organic farmers who are instrumental in the growth of our industry. "At a time when one of the few economic bright spots in our nation's economy holds an annual conference, OFRF plans to honor and celebrate the individuals who bring us together in sustainability," said Maureen Wilmot, Executive Director of OFRF. "America's organic family farmers are the largest contributors to our industry's success."

The OFRF Luncheon will be held March 8, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m, in Ballrooms C and D, and will feature presentations from Huffington Post Columnist, Ellen Kanner, and successful organic farmer, Brenton Johnson from Johnson's Backyard Garden, Austin, TX. The luncheon, which is almost sold out, has been known as the best place to meet natural product industry leaders and pundits.

In addition to hosting the Celebration of American Organic Family Farmer Luncheon, OFRF will be featured in a panel discussion highlighting the soon to be published, Organic Farming for Health & Prosperity report-- OFRF's comprehensive report outlining the multiple benefits organic agriculture provides to society. The panel discussion, How Organic Farming Increases the Bottom Line, will be held Friday March 9, 2012 from 2:00 - 3:15 p.m. in the Platinum Ballroom 7 at the Anaheim Marriot.

"We have much to celebrate in the natural products industry, this year," says Wilmot. "We're seeing more and more young farmers and consumers embracing organics-- providing our nation with a long-overdue sense of economic renewal. OFRF is proud to be working with our esteemed sponsors, including Horizon Organic, in hosting this celebration."

The Anaheim Convention Center is located at 800 West Katella Avenue in Anaheim California.
