I just heard Nadine in the bathroom clanking around on the walker. If we left it to Western Medicine and the ER she would be destabilized on crutches right now. She was given them without any instructions. At first they did not even have crutches at Alvarado Hospital. We had to wait for them to be ordered.
It is now Saturday morning. She took a bad step off some crazy steps on Wednesday on a loading dock that was not as health hazard proof as it could have been.
She was carrying gear. She landed wrong and went down. She was embarassed. It is now four days later.
We had an agreement to give me a chance to use natural remedies today, but the pain was so bad that she took a pill first thing.
The M.D. gave her a stocking that is made out of artificial materials. It hurt when she took it off this morning.
She was still in pain so my experiment for the day, as promised last night--no use of Ibuprofen and no Percoset today is not totally ruined.
MIVITA MINERALS
I got three of my old T-shirts. I put Mivita Minerals in a bowl. I soaked one in Mivita Minerals. Then I put the cool Mivita on her left ankle area that was still hurting.
She seemed to have some relief.

PATIENT IS RESTING COMFORTABLY
She has fallen asleep. She is lightly snoring. It may have been the Ibuprofen that helped nod her out before she fell asleep.
I have set up two pans, one with hot water on the stove, and one with cold.
She was a "4" Pain Level. Then, she went to a "3". When I hot she made a sound of comfort, then, it was a "3", When I put on the cold towel, she said "2." Then she feel asleep.

I wanted to do a test today to show that the natural remedies work, but her pain level was too high before I could start. She had already taken a pill.
I am not sure which one she took. She could not handle the pain. She woke up in pain.
